Columnist takes unwanted semi-break from Harper-bashing due to Haiti earthquake

Richard Cleroux just can’t help himself with this piece  saying that the media will be back to hounding on Harper just as this little earthquake thing in Haiti gets off the front page. It’s almost like it bothers him that thousands of people’s deaths got in the way of the media pile-on.  (see article here)

Court tells federal government what it can spend taxpayers money on

The BC Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal from the federal government to close Vancouver’s safe-injection site. The federal government has said it believes the site’s $3-million operating budget could be better spent on drug treatment. (see story here)

Stay classy Globe and Mail: Harperites “defecate”

Unbelievable that the Globe and Mail would allow any of their writers to include lines such as what Rick Salutin did in his column today: (see column here)

Do the Harperites think nobody gives a damn when you defecate all over those values, even if it’s a symbolic defecation over symbolic values and a largely symbolic way of life?
