In an unguarded, but very telling moment on last week’s The National’s At Issue panel discussion, host Peter Mansbridge mocked bloggers and Fox News.
It was during a discussion on Danny Williams’ US heart surgery that Allan Gregg mentioned how the blogosphere is taking off on this story when Mansbridge laughed derisively and cut him off saying “well, it must be right” followed up with the same snide comment after Gregg interjected that Fox News ran with it as well.
You really get an insight on how Mansbridge looks at how news is reported from an angle that he doesn’t agree with as if the CBC and himself are the ultimate authority.
An added shame-on-you goes to Andrew Coyne who you can hear laughing along with Mansbridge. I expect better from Coyne.
