Don Martin and Lib Senator Colin Kenny have a little pity-party together

The National Post’s Don Martin laments the loss of Liberal Senate control in a column dedicated to Liberal Senator Colin Kenny’s last day as chair of the National Security and Defence Committee.

You can just imagine Don crying into his beer afterward at D’Arcy McGees. (see column here)

Has Paul Wells lost it?

The other day I posted whether Macleans was turning back into a Liberal rag. One example I cited was Paul Wells’ bizarre fixation on the Rights and Democracy infighting (see here).

Guess what, he’s at it again today. (see here)

One posed theory is that Wells has so much invested emotionally in this and by the Conservative government clearly ignoring him, it has enraged him. By publicly campaigning so hard and then the government ignoring you, it’s a sign of impotence. It would be hard on his ego with such a large national reputation at stake thus making him angrier and then taking it even more personally.

Update: Wells is at it again… see here and again today see here

Canadian flag distorted to fit Olympic proportion standards

Flag issues can be very touchy with many people but does it matter as much anymore when half the autos on the road have gimmicky flags flapping from their windows and drunks in beer gardens at all sporting/music events wear a flag as a cape? (see story here)

Another Human Rights case set-up

Karen Selick writes in the National Post the outcome of a well publicized case of a women’s only gym owner who was shaken down by a guy posing as a sex-change candidate. (see story here)

Also: see this case launched against Montreal Transit today here. Sure do find it funny how so many news organizations get this story’s info so quickly…
