NB Lib Premier: Media is fault for poll woes then releases government-owned beer

Liberal New Brunswick premier Shawn Graham is blaming the media for what he says is unfair coverage of his government the day after a poll puts him at the very bottom of popularity of Canadian premiers (see poll here).

Might instead be decisions such as brewing a lower priced beer for the crown corporation New Brunswick Liquor Corp has something to do with it? (see story here)

Green’s May had her shot and blew it

There couldn’t have been better political timing and conditions for a Green Party break-through than the last election.

Everyone was talking Al Gore-like and global-warming was accepted verbatim by the media. The Green media-darling of Canada was being interviewed by any and all without anyone questioned her “facts”.

Green Party leader Elizabeth May had her one big shot at putting a Green MP in Ottawa but she dropped the ball big-time. Against all logic and political savvy, she ran against Conservative Peter MacKay and even with the help of the Liberal Party, never came close to unseating him.

Then along comes Climategate plus many other scandals and false scientific data that the environmental movement used to fool the public. As well, the media is now doing some due diligence. Some are starting to research organizations like the UN and NASA and other scientists are speaking up about fabricated data that supports “studies”. The worm is starting to turn…

Just don’t assume May will look inward and admit the Greenies have lost a lot of credibility with the Canadian voters. She still has some very friendly media sources and no fanatic ever goes away quietly. (see column here)
