Kooky Green Party votes on making polygamy legal

Only in the Green Party could a motion to legalize polygamy make it to the voting stage at a national convention.

There is no way that this has a chance of becoming Green policy but you wonder how it could even get this far. Two Green EDAs (riding associations) and a university campus club sponsored this crazy motion but of course the media will conveniently look the other way as they apparently are too busy receiving hugs from ex-hockey enforcers. Update: The motion was defeated but a staggering 18% voted in favour of it

Coren rips apart “Silver” Cameron for Hitler/Harper comparision column

Michael Coren shines some more light on “Silver” Donald Cameron’s disgusting column that compared PM Stephen Harper to Adolf Hitler (see earlier blog here).

“We [conservatives] are no more like Hitler, Mr. Cameron, than you are like a good journalist.

Besides slamming Cameron, Coren also takes a swipe at the Chronicle Herald which allowed this piece of garbage to be printed, referring it by its local nickname the “Chronic Horrid”. (see column here)

Ex-Long-Gun Registry head Cheliak was “on-scene point man” in Mayerthorpe

Interesting bit of information on the hero of the defenders of the Long-Gun Registry, RCMP Chief Supt Marty Cheliak , from the Ottawa Sun editorial.

Turns out Cheliak was the one in charge of the operation in which cop-hater James Roszko ambushed and killed four Mounties in Mayerthorpe Alberta in 2005. (see here)

Liberal MPs enter TO mayoral fray

Is it normal for Liberal MPs to endorse municipal candidates in Ontario? I’m trying to think of any examples here in BC where that occurred and especially on such a large scale. (see story here)
