Green Party pulls web page promoting pro-Iranian “peace” conference

The Green Party and Elizabeth May normally get an automatic pass from the media for any nutty policies or nutbar candidates associated but hopefully that is coming to an end.

Lorne Gunter sheds a little light on just who exactly is running the Green Party sponsored Just and Sustainable Peace – A Global Challenge conference and gives May no credit for standing up to these fanatics within her party. (see column here)

Liberals get uppity over Via Rail waste

Good on anyone that brings blatant wasteful spending by crown corporations such as Via Rail’s press release expenses, but while we are at it, let’s talk about how Via Rail was run under the Liberals.

Anybody in the Liberal caucus remember ex-Via Rail Chairman Jean Pelletier or maybe ex-Via president Marc LeFrancois who was fired by Paul Martin over Sheila Fraser’s report showing its role in transferring sponsorship money through questionable means.

So before the Liberals get all high-and-mighty over a couple thousand wasted dollars that the Conservative government is rightly looking into, they might show how serious they are and go looking for the $40M still missing from the sponsorship scandal. (see here)
