Conservative Party President congrats China Communist Party

Sun News is trying to track down Conservative Party President John Walsh to ask him why he sent a letter to the Chinese Communist Party wishing them well on their 90th birthday:

“July 1, 2011 the 90th anniversary of founding the Chinese Communist Party, Conservative Party of Canada willing to work with political parties around the world to work together to celebrate and witness this important special significance time, we appreciate the Chinese Communist Party and the Conservative Party of Canada is committed to developing positive relationships, and look forward to the future relations between the two parties has been growing.”

I’m completely confused why Walsh would even consider doing this and how he thinks that it is within his mandate. Conservative Party members should be demanding answers. (see video here)

Update: The Conservative Party is now refusing to address it:

“Our party doesn’t have any comment on this,” said executive director Dan Hilton. (see here)

Surprise…ex-Con MP Jay Hill now lobbying Liberal government

 

Former Conservative House Leader Jay Hill’s very vocal support of Liberal premier Christy Clark sure does make a whole lot more sense now that Public Eye found a big reason why a so-called conservative would  be backing a hard-core Liberal.

Turns out that Hill, who now lives in Calgary and was attending every BC Liberal function (see here) doing his best to damage BC Conservative leader John Cummins has been hired by Spectra Energy Corp (which was also a big donor to Clark’s leadership campaign) to lobby the Liberal government (see here).

This follows the new government “relations” firm (see here) set up by Stockwell Day, who has sucked up to Christy Clark and the Liberals and has been out trying to destroy the BC Conservatives for years.

Like Deep Throat said “follow the money”.
