Why is shadowy “advocacy” group OpenMedia at CRTC hearings?

You know how messed up things are at the CRTC when a group who tried to censor and keep Sun TV from getting a license (see here) is giving a presentation saying it’s on behalf of Canadians.

New Vice-Chair Tom Pentefountas is not taking any crap from them though as he had some very pointed questions about who is funding OpenMedia and why they list themselves as “non-partisan” when there are unions listed on its website. (see here)

CBC throwing party for itself and we get to pay for it

Curious to know if Minister of Heritage James Moore thinks it’s just fine for the CBC to hide the costs of its 75th birthday bashes behind the very lame, “economic interests”? (see here)
