Ezra Levant, on his show The Source, hi-lights the moronic blathering from Liberal Scott Reid who acted as a guest-panelist on a CTV News program with the topic being ethical oil.
This CTV segment is hosted by Jacqueline Milczarek who, with as much contempt as possible and accompanied with a sneer, asks:
“Are we [Canada] really more ethical than the Saudis?” (11:30 of video above)
Make sure you don’t miss the expression of disbelief on the face of the National Post’s Tasha Keiriddin who may have needed help picking her jaw up off the floor after hearing such an outrageous statement.
Also: Check out Keiriddin’s nice column on ethical oil here and then compare it to the bizarre column run the same day on the same issue by her co-worker Jonathan Kay here

Be quiet woman
Speak when you are spoken to
And cover yourself
September 22, 2011 at 10:25 PM
Yep, that was really something — unbelievable words coming out of the mouth of a Canadian woman. And what’s with J-Kay? Has he gone hippie or something? I mean, a Prius — really??
September 22, 2011 at 10:53 PM
Kay has absolutely lost it.

She didnt just say that did she?Hey CTV can you be more obvious?Since when are we kowtowing to the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia?I stopped watching them in April 2011.

Where is the outspoken left when it comes to these abuses to women? Where is the outrage, the condemnation? The hypocrisy of the left is so ridiculous now and what’s worse they continually put down this wonderful beautiful land. They talk about freedoms and social policy…how would Libby and Nycole feel being treated less than a camel?
And as for Reid…don’t know him and can only comment from what I’ve seen of him…but he portrays the typical leftist.
Global warming bad, climate change bad…so I will drive an SUV and put others down.
Classic do as I say not as I do.

Good thing she’s hot, LOL
September 23, 2011 at 4:36 AM
Then again, if her Saudi bosses had their way, THIS is the new look she would be wearing -

J-Kay in a bhurka. Somehow, the bhurka diminishes the hotness.

It’s this chicken**** garbage that makes me furious at journalists.
It’s like a coward who is too gutless to go off to war, but rather than admit it, convinces himself and tries to convince others that the war he won’t go to is wrong because if the war is wrong then he isn’t a coward he is a moral hero. It’s psychological face saving and it’s B.S.

Journalism school lesson 4 – Don’t attack anyone who is likely to fight back.
Lesson 4.1 – When expected to attack someone who is likely to fight back then attack those who expect you to act courageously.
Predictable as the sunrise.
September 23, 2011 at 5:02 AM
Scott Reid not lying would necessitate his not speaking.
Jacqueline Milczarek should go experience Saudi Arabia.
Kay is a mental midget, plain and simple, he should stick to writing books denouncing conspiracies with no facts to back his claims.
September 23, 2011 at 5:43 AM
I wonder if this Milczarek woman ever reads many news stories.
September 23, 2011 at 6:11 AM
Ezra rocks.
September 23, 2011 at 6:13 AM
What are the chances that CTV and/or it’s owners are NOT getting rewarded for being influence peddlers for the Saudi dictatorship?
I’d say the answer is pretty close to “none”.
Besides that, maybe that bubble heads pathetic little editorial is correct. Is it possible that she wasn’t referring to Canada, but rather CTV? It does make sense when you think of it that way.

Scott Reid should invite his new LIEberal masters from Saudi Arabia to a feast of ‘beer and popcorn’ at the local “Burkha-King” restaurant!!
This guy is truly drinking the fetid eco-greeny bath water of the Saudi princes.
Yep, this is how you keep your failed CO2 ideology going, when your failed Dionky can’t carry the load; Scott Reid mounts a Saudi camel!!
This guy is laughable and so is the CTV ditz who questions whether Canada is more ethical than Saudi Arabia .
Please, please Scott your CO2 exhalations are warming the cooling planet; save the planet and hold your breath for a long long time….
Truly the guy is a stand up comic for Saudi oppression…what’s next, funding for Al-Qaeda?
Cheers

On the question of censorship and being ethical I could not agree with you more on this particular issue. You have demonstrated your ability to expose things for what they really are congratulations. Please accept this request to get involved in investigating the smart meter program being imposed on BC residents against the will of many. This is the biggest human experiment without consent. If that’s ethical we are doomed.
September 23, 2011 at 8:54 AM
Why would anyone listen to that boorish twit Scott Reid of “beer and popcorn” fame? I don’t care if he rides a pony, a bicycle, a bus or drives a jeep as long as he keeps well out of sight and earshot.
As for Jacqueline Milchuck, whatever, she should spend a fortnight in a burka tent , see if she gets claustrophobic while tripping over her hems.
Anyone who has to ask if we are really more ethical than the Saudis doesn’t really have a handle on reality.

Curious. It seems to me that the “left” whoever they are are getting the knickers in a twist when FACTS knock them over the head with a reality check. They are getting their butts handed to them on a silver platter now by a Common Sense revolution sweeping the globe.

As a tax-paying employer of our government, I instruct Prime Minister Harper to send a few warships to the Gulf and demand that the king of Saudi Arabia gets down on his knees, publicly, and begs forgiveness from the Canadian people for attempting to impose censorship on a Canadian broadcaster. Additionally, as a gesture of his sincerity, this king is to strip his law firm, and it’s managers, of their entire wealth, and use those monies to pay for running Ethical Oil’s ad on every TV channel in the United States and Canada.

Easy on the warship stuff…

George you are unstable. I remember when Tories were going to send warships to take back Hans Island. That was when they were in opposition. Since then Harper has done squat on Hans Island.
