Con MP challenges Saudis to debate him on ethical oil

Edmonton MP James Rajotte has picked up the cause for trying to keep Canada free after the Saudi government’s successful censorship of an EthicalOil.org ad that was to run on CTV.

“What the Saudis ought to be doing, if they want to have a debate about the issue, then they should say, ‘EthicalOil is making these arguments. Here’s where we disagree,’ and actually have a valid public argument or discussion about the issue”

“That’s the way we operate in Canada. [We] have free speech and we have open transparent deliberation and then Canadians themselves can decide.”

“It shouldn’t be decided threatening legal action against broadcasters for running ads” (see here)

There is a certain CTV news anchor who should also be included in this debate (see here).

NDP MP signed-off on airbrushed cleavage photo

I’ve had a good laugh at the tin-foil hat wearing apologists for the NDP who say that somehow a MP’s official House of Commons photo wouldn’t have been ok’ed before being posted and to throw this lame deflection back in their faces, check out the NP’s Joseph’s Brean piece:

“Ms. Sitsabaiesan did not return calls yesterday. Heather Bradley, director of communications in the Speaker’s office, would not say why the cleavage was removed, only that MPs approve their final photo.

Over to you nutbars…
