These are seriously the leaders of the Official Opposition

Love to see just one Ottawa Press Gallery member try to defend either of the interim leaders on their latest idiocies:

1) Liberal Bob Rae wants Governor-General David Johnston to refuse granting royal assent to the Conservative’s bill to dismantle the Canadian Wheat Board (see here)

2) NDP Nycole Turmel says that the BC Liberals shouldn’t have to re-pay the $1.6B it received from the rest of Canada for singing on to the HST (see here)

Nothing is really expected from Turmel so she consistently gets a free pass but how will the media who worship at the altar of Rae spin this lunacy?

My guess, by ignoring it.

CBC Ombudsman investigating phony Rob Ford 911 story

Openfile Toronto noticed on CBC Ombudsman Kirk Lapointe’s blog that he has agreed to conduct a review into the:

“CBC online, radio and television reports concerning 911 distress calls made by Toronto mayor Rob Ford.”

And  in an interview, Lapointe was asked if his review had anything to do with my earlier post asking for people to get involved and if it was a “manufactured outrage?”:

“I can tell you that by my estimation, in terms of the number it’s not a flood of people. It’s a handful of complainants. There didn’t appear to be anything I could detect—usually with these type of things, if there’s a campaign being organized, the phrasing is similar, it’s almost like a form that’s arriving.”

“These are all from individuals, there’s nothing unusual about this case.”

I’ll update the progress of this investigation as it evolves although with no mainstream media coverage so far, I was lucky to run across this Tweet of CBCWatch from Blue Like You, otherwise I had no idea it was happening:
