Was media responsible for Rob Ford break-in?

When the media go to the personal residence of a prominent politician like Toronto’s mayor Rob Ford like the CBC did, are they aware that they may be egging on someone mentally imbalanced to do the same?

If the person who broke into Ford’s home today (see here) is found to have been influenced by the media coverage, what will the response be from these news organizations?

Citizen’s Gardner compares Harper to Mussolini

Crazy-time at the Ottawa Citizen again as Dan Gardner thinks Conservative House Leader Peter Van Loan talking about political gridlock in Ottawa is the same as having a policy under a murderous regime like Italian fascist Benito Mussolini.

“Oh dear. We seem to be having a Mussolini moment.”

“You remember Mussolini. Big guy. Bit of a bully. Had a thing for uniforms. Some people didn’t like how he did this or that but, hey, he made the trains run on time.”

“The “il Duce” fans are worried about gridlock”  (see here)

Yup, at the Ottawa Citizen any discussion by a Conservative on things such as Senate reform is really a secret longing to have armed groups of Blackshirts roaming the streets looking for political opponents.

Also:  Gardner pimping by National Post’s Chris Selley makes no mention of  Mussolini here
