Harper playing dangerous game attaching himself to Christy Clark

I’d sure like to know who the brainiac(s) was that arranged the Timmies moment photo-op with the corruption-associated BC Liberal Christy Clark?

It was bad enough that Harper appointed the most despised BC premier in our history to a plum gig in London but connecting himself to Clark is a massive mistake regardless of any political oil pipe-line concessions that were likely pre-arranged.

During lunch in his parliamentary office, Harper once told me he was staying out of picking sides (as should us operatives) in BC politics and now needs to remind himself of that same and very sound advice.

Umm NDP…about that Dion’s “divided loyalties” dual citizenship?

Now that the NDP’s political fortunes lie so heavily on Quebec, the idea of leadership candidate’s Thomas Mulcair’s French citizenship is just fine with them even though 4 of their MPs including Jack Layton thrashed then Liberal leader Stephane Dion for his.

Jack Layton

“I would prefer that a leader of a party hold only Canadian citizenship, because one represents many Canadians, and for me that means that it’s better to remain the citizen of one country,” Layton told The Canadian Press.

“But for a person that isn’t in a position of representing others, holding dual citizenship is fine with us.”
