I’m trying to remember if I’ve every seen anything more pathetic than this latest publicity stunt by the moronic Brigette DePape who thinks protesting at a polling station on election day is perfectly acceptable.
I assume that it is the left-wing news organization The Tyee who is paying DePape (see here) to embarrass herself in this manner and if not, they should quickly dissociate themselves from this idiot.
Also: See earlier post on DePape showing up in Durban to protest here

Forgot she even existed…lol
April 23, 2012 at 8:31 AM
I believe this is illegal, since it amounts to campaigning during an election. So the question is whether action will be taken.
April 23, 2012 at 4:17 PM
Sorry Alain, no action will be taken because
1) Unfortunately it’s not against the law to campaign on election day in Alberta. I just checked on it a couple of minutes ago because a got a recorded phone call from the damned Liberals just now.
2) It would be a bit of work for some lazy lawyer in the prosecutors office to prepare a case against her even if it WERE against the law.
3) You don’t arrest lefty protesters in Canada.
4) The cops are too chicken****.
April 23, 2012 at 8:34 AM
She is assuming the role as rent a protester.
I believe she was front and center on the budget day protest in the house of commons gallery also.
April 23, 2012 at 8:38 AM
Think it was a look alike? http://beta.images.theglobeandmail.com/archive/01390/web-budget-prot_1390124artw.jpg
April 23, 2012 at 8:42 AM
I think in the link you provided above we have a look alike.
April 23, 2012 at 8:39 AM
It’s hard not to assume Depape is not too bright when she allows herself to be used by extreme Leftist organizations.
She looks like an absolute twit standing outside a polling station and why is she even allowed to loiter there when people are going in to cast their ballots? Does she think she’s going to change some minds?
Let’s hope the media there will ignore her but we can be sure CBC and CTV will have her on. Watch for her on Evan Solomon’s show, I’m sure he’d be anxious to chat her up.
April 23, 2012 at 8:56 AM
That’s the day I lost my respect for Solomon http://bcblue.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/nutbar-protesting-senate-page-depape-and-her-senator-connection/
April 23, 2012 at 9:00 AM
Lokks like the raging grannies are getting younger.
Silly, silly and sillier.
April 23, 2012 at 9:00 AM
My take is that DePape is part of the last ditch effort to get the youth out to vote PC. Her message: “See, I’m motivated to stop that scary Danielle, so you should be too”.
It’s too little, too late. The PCs, with help from Nenshi, needed to start earlier to get out his “purple wave” of students. Redford should have promised a tuition break.
April 23, 2012 at 9:03 AM
I guess I can weigh in by saying; I never had any respect for Solomon to begin with. Obvious to me this guy is a Liberal hack and there are no two ways about it.
He is ignorant inasmuch as when he ask a question of someone, he interrupts and we never hear the answer.
Mr. Steyn sure slapped him down pretty good.
Add to Solomon – Rosemary as well – A pair well suited twits.
April 23, 2012 at 9:04 AM
Guessing Solomon would be a NDP “hack”
April 23, 2012 at 9:25 AM
There doesn’t seem to be much difference between the NDP and Liberals in Ontario these days.
April 23, 2012 at 5:34 PM
Why bother calling Solomon anything other than a Harper hater,as that’s what I do.They all have one thing in common,”Get Harper’.Do you think that Brigette Pape could be Pierre Poutine?
April 23, 2012 at 9:11 AM
This is the problem with the left, they think that just protesting/raising awareness will solve their problems, Her standing there will have almost no affect, however, she could be spending her time doing GOTV or driving people to the polls which actually could make a difference.
April 23, 2012 at 9:25 AM
I thought Brigette De Pape was gettin jiggy with her Egyptian Arab spring…?
Isn’t she supposed to be in Cairo. (see clip @ 1:12)

Surprised she is not out rioting in Montreal – that would probably be more productive. Mind you she would have to share the “limelight” with her fellow malcontents. lol
April 23, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Please give poor Bridgette a break, how can she ever hope to compete with the world class Canadian journalosers if she doesn’t practice, practice, practice?
April 23, 2012 at 9:56 AM
What’s she doing in Alberta anyway? She’s a bloody Easterner and has ABSOLUTELY no business sticking her nose in the Alberta election. Added to which she looks to be too close to the polling station to be standing there legally. Can you imagine the furore if an Albertan had dared visit McGuinty’s polling station in a like manner?
April 23, 2012 at 10:38 AM
Tell her it is not halloween and she should quit wearing the costume of a senate page, which she is not. Has election Alberta been informed of her politicing outside a polling station. Hope they arrest her.
April 23, 2012 at 12:14 PM
Senate page? I thought she was Wednesday Addams
April 23, 2012 at 11:03 AM
My goodness, this little media attention lover sure does get around doesn’t she? Quite the little carbon spewing ***** hypocrite?
This is politicking at a polling station and it is against the law. Although the crazed defenders that never defend anyone else’s’ right to free speech will call it just that, free speech.
Sigh**** the rationalization and justification of the radical crowd but never anyone else. They are just so boring and predictable.
April 23, 2012 at 11:29 AM
It’s time to turn the Page over to the fruits of her own devices. Let them eat cake, anyone?
April 23, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Somebody should get her a more solid stop sign, it’s looking as weak as her mission.
April 23, 2012 at 12:13 PM
Well little ms DePape reminds us all of what we don’t want,
a Coalition of Losers…..
we need a Wildrose majority.

Got that link from one of your fellow blogging tories. Apparently Quebec will be upset if Wildrose wins. Damn I almost wish I was back in Alberta getting a say but we’ll put the boots to those corrupt thieving lying liberals soon enough here in B.C..
April 23, 2012 at 3:59 PM
Anyone know where I can watch election returns for the Alberta election online?
April 23, 2012 at 4:35 PM
What are you all talking about!!!??? Don’t you realize what she’s done?
The Wild Rose will come ONE seat from getting a nmajority!
The riding she is protesting in will come within ONE vote of electing a PC!!!
Her presense her sign her courage will convince that ONE voter to vote PC and deny the WRA their majority thus allowing all the other parties to enter into a coalition government!!!
It’s genius! It’s brilliant!
April 23, 2012 at 7:13 PM
she is full of ****. In Barrie autistic kids are getting bullied by OPSEU workers and nobody protests that but the local mpp
speaks up.These trendy protesters have zero moral compass I hope she grows up and does something useful
April 24, 2012 at 5:53 AM
Who is paying for her trips the union dues ?

A Northern Ontario MP has ended a long struggle to vote according to his conscience on issues like the gun registry by quitting the NDP caucus to sit as an independent.
Bruce Hyer, the Thunder Bay-Superior North MP who once held the high-profile post of environment critic under the late Jack Layton, said the decision was precipitated in part by the fact he was left out of the shadow cabinet named last week by NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair.
But mostly, he said in a telephone interview Monday, he is frustrated the existing system of government does not always allow elected politicians to speak their minds and vote as their constituents dictate.
“I have always been an independent thinker and, I will be honest, it’s been a struggle for 3½ years,” Mr. Hyer said. “I don’t want to be controlled by any party. I don’t want to vote 100 per cent with any party all the time. And my first loyalty is to my constituents and the people who elected me.”
