NDP leader slanders Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers

I assume when NDP leader Thomas Mulcair said the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers was “pulling a con job” in trying to make the public believe they were regulating the industry (see here) that he knows the definition of “con job”:

1) an act or instance of duping or swindling

2) an act or instance of lying or talking glibly to convince others or get one’s way

Will Mulcair be joining Pat Martin and be the next NDP MP to be sued?

CBC Payton’s hit-piece on Con MP “asking questions for opposition MPs”

The CBC’s Laura Payton continues the tradition of certain Ottawa Press Gallery members acting on behalf of the NDP and Liberals to smear a Conservative MP.

Payton is part of the Mean Girls journo pack which includes as a member the source of this story, Postmedia’s Stephen Maher and it is my theory that this is an organized gang-up on Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro for (in part) going after their ‘leader’ Kady O’Malley (see here).

Payton doesn’t even attempt to hide the obvious willingness to attack Del Mastro using the opposition as cover:

Opposition MPs say Del Mastro’s responses so far don’t clear up the mystery surrounding the records. Here are five questions raised by his 2008 campaign spending (see here)

Notice Payton doesn’t name these “opposition MPs” and knows full well that Del Mastro has really no ability to respond as he wasn’t even aware of this investigation until Maher called him asking about these illegally obtained courts documents.

The Mean Girls play rough and for anyone to believe otherwise or get chummy with them hoping to appease, that person may be in for a rude awakening when their gun-sights target them.
