I find it more than a little strange and very coincidental that Liberal MP Wayne Easter says that he was indeed heckling Conservative MPs that they should be saluting PM Stephen Harper when he was accused of using the Nazi salute by Minister Joe Oliver:
Easter did tell the Guardian he was “peeved” at the time, because Harper was “bowing like an emperor” during the marathon session.
“We said that the way they are applauding the Prime Minister every time, they should salute him” (see here)
Easter had better darn well hope that if he did indeed gesture at Harper using the Nazi salute, that a camera didn’t pick it up.
Update: Dynamite as Conservative MP Chris Warkentin backs up Joe Oliver’s version:
“Unfortunately it wasn’t as he (Easter) describes now.” (see here)

I rather think doorknobs Easter was lying through his effing teeth.

Oliver:
“They raised their arms in a rigid position, at a 45 degree angle, clearly the gesture of the Nazi salute,” he said. “There was no ambiguity.”

Run the film every-which-way and let’s get this controversy out of the way or not!
Easter has been know to stretch the truth many-a-time so lets not be shy about this one.
The man is a slug who has gone to far and is a disgrace to his party.
No wonder they are at the bottom of the pile.
With guys like this they should be.

Well then he had a cramp in his arm and it went into that rigid position and he was moving it to get it shake it off.
I think he’s been eating too many of those blighted PEI spuds.

As a former Islander I continue to be embarrassed by Easter but you take that back about our taters. Some things are sacred.
