Most people will have now seen the coverage in the media of 17-year-old being ejected after interrupting Immigration Minister Jason Kenney during a speech Sunday.
It caught my attention yesterday when I saw this torqued headline:
”Teen gets removed while asking immigration minister a question during Tory BBQ” (see here)
As it turns out, Kenney was speaking at a private Conservative function to which this attention-seeker crashed.
Since then, the Left have of course been pushing him as some sort of hero including CBC’s Rick Mercer (see here) even though one has to question this kid’s sanity after seeing how he has acted on Twitter including some old posts where he declared his love for a murderous dictator:
My issue isn’t really with this nutbar and his loonie Left admirers as there will always be crazies coming out of the woodwork. The problem I have is with the media coverage of these obvious staged protests and that’s why I filed an official complaint with the CBSC using their on-line form (see here) over the story by CTV titled “Teen dragged from Jason Kenney speech” (see video here).
Not only does the Globe and Mail title state he was “dragged” it is repeated by both the news anchor and the reporter even though not a shred of evidence was shown that this in fact was true.
I will post an update when I here back from the CBSC.

Good on you Dean. I read that idiotic story and could see the clear bias in the writing. What bull****.
Go after those jerks and nail them to the wall.
I wish I had your ability.
July 16, 2012 at 12:44 PM
It is a good thing the video doesn’t catch the part when he tripped (yes he did trip, I was there and witnessed it and even he admitted it was an accident) or else the headlines might would have read “17 yr old roughed up by Tories for asking Minister a question.”
Good work on this; I particularly liked your smackdown of Rick Mercer. =)

Once again another Media-Mean-Girl-Lie.
CTV SUCKS!
To little Mohamed ;
My Canada where you pay your own way, don’t like it?
Go back to whatever caring, advanced Country you came from.
Don’t let the door hit your oh so sensitive little tush on the way out.
July 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM
Dean, I hope your not holding your breathe waiting for a response are you? Only conservatives have to fear the CBSC and are reprimanded. The Left gets to do whatever they want because obviously they are “special”.
July 16, 2012 at 1:02 PM
Freaking little a*******, er darling, he merely wanted to ask the Minister a question and those bully Conservatives had him dragged out. Typical leftist reporting, doctored to suit their agenda to make Conservatives look nasty which of course means leaving out the real facts.
July 16, 2012 at 1:10 PM
It’s even more troublesome in all of this to have a media going to bat in favour of a twit who has as his hero a tyrant like Kim Jong-Il. Only in Canada eh?
July 16, 2012 at 1:49 PM
It is unbelievable these “pack of wolves” can print and say anything they want in order to “try” and make the Conservatives look bad. Anything like this happens to the liberals/ndp – it gets filed in their lost column….
July 16, 2012 at 3:08 PM
It was a fundraiser so I assume the wee minded rabble rouser dropped a few bucks in the hat? Surely he didn’t think that he was the entertainment simply because the ‘media party’ missed the ‘clown’ part?
This little man was used imo and so therefore, to acquire some context and appreciation for this adopted country, he should return to his roots. They really love using and abusing….. doing that there actuall HURTS. He should really go and research that, I think.
July 16, 2012 at 3:41 PM
Where do I file a complaint against your blog for innaccurate reporting? He payed the $40 to get into the event, he didn’t ‘crash’ it. Innacurracy, hyperbole and outright lies go both ways my friend.
July 16, 2012 at 4:08 PM
Loonie Left have a rule that if you pay for a ticket you can act like a clown. Unfortunately in the real world that is false. Try throwing things on the ice next time you buy a hockey ticket moron.
July 16, 2012 at 5:25 PM
Bashir had a ticket to the event, but you can be pretty sure he did not buy it himself. He has admitted that others were involved in the planning.
July 16, 2012 at 5:31 PM
I have been told he was there with a woman as well who was drinking rather heavily. Trying to get confirmation still. Plus who shot the video he gave to the media?
July 16, 2012 at 7:18 PM
Of course it was a staged set-up just like the space cadet page.
July 16, 2012 at 5:32 PM
So……….let me get this straight; he paid $40 to attend a Tory event which was a BBQ (such BBQs typically being used to help raise money for any given party) just to protest a Tory Government Minister, which he could have easily done outside the doors FOR FREE. Instead……….he donated money to the very party just to get a chance to stage a singular protest. No wonder the myth of progressivism is dying in this country, LMAO.
If you know him, kindly remind this Darwin Award recepient to pick up his tax receipt. As a fellow Tory donor, I thank him for his support.
July 16, 2012 at 5:42 PM
Heh, anyone else see the irony of little Darren here using a great big word like “inaccuracy”…………..and spelling it wrong……………twice?
So you’re saying “‘innacurracy’, hyperbole, and outright lies go both ways”. If that is true, wouldn’t that mean the impomptu protester was lying, being “innacurrate”, and hyperbolic in the first place?
I love watching the left crashing and burning. It happens so often now.
July 19, 2012 at 6:18 PM
Darren, I really doubt anyone here is … “your friend”, least of all the blog owner.
Secondly, BC Blue is quite right. Paying the price of admission doesn’t allow you to act like a jerk.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was put up to this by the so wonderfully unbiased journalists that were to quick to support him. Create the story then report the story you created.
July 16, 2012 at 3:56 PM
I left a reply to the CTV article where I tried to ‘fix’ their headline… however, my comment was blocked. Wonder why!
I’m glad you’ve done this, Dean.
July 16, 2012 at 4:42 PM
It’ll be interesting to see their response – if any
Here’s my post on the BBQ…

Good work Dean… it’s unfortunate that your complaint to the CBSC about lefty media lies will be ignored. The CBSC censors and the corrupt lefty media are on the same team. As for the useful idiot and ungrateful activist heckling the Minister at a private event, he is assured of becoming a “media star” as lefty activism and the media are one in the same. I still appreciate your efforts in seeking truth and fairness, although that has never been a lefty trait.
July 16, 2012 at 5:02 PM
I believe that they are mandated to investigate all complaints and get response from broadcaster within a certain time-frame
July 16, 2012 at 11:09 PM
I hope you’re right Blue… unfortunately, I have absolutely no faith in the CBSC. IMO the CBSC was created by broadcasters in order to deflect attention away from the odious stench of the over reaching censors and thought police encrusted within the CRTC.

Refugees who truly are refugees do not take a government and country that opened its doors for granted. instead, most sincere refugees will accept the smallest gratitude from the government. but to say that refugees who come to canada then to demand instant treatment like the most canadians are not refugees one bit.
July 16, 2012 at 10:16 PM
Pretty Disgusting Diatribe here.
July 16, 2012 at 6:46 PM
Great post! I truly hope the CBSC will do their job this time.
Thankyou BC Blue for trying to keep Canadian journalists honest. it has become a dishonourable profession.
July 16, 2012 at 9:14 PM
I worry about our Conservative politician’s security. We are lucky that all he wanted to do was heckle. He could easily have harmed Mr. Kenney… I was at Kenney’s breakfast in the morning and the protesters there had signs and were outside the building and appeared quite harmless but how does one know for certain? I think we need to tighten security. I’ve seen too many instances where our politicians are unsafe. I worry it’s going to take something bad happening to do anything about this.
July 16, 2012 at 11:16 PM
I share your concern… the way the media behaves in this country, (extremist anti Conservative) cheering on every nut with a sign, it wouldn’t take much for some indoctrinated nit wit of the left to do something completely irrational, believing that he or she would then become a media “hero”. It is a worry.
July 17, 2012 at 6:40 AM
We should file complaints with the CRTC, when did fabricating parts of the news become acceptable?
July 17, 2012 at 6:44 AM
I think you should…

In regards to the Rob Drinkwater Free Press story
http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada/teen-gets-removed-while-asking-immigration-minister-a-question-during-tory-bbq-162529216.html
Here is National Post headline for the Rob Drinkwater story
Protester tossed from Tory barbecue after heckling Jason Kenney during speech
Here is the Winnipeg Free Press headline for the very same story
Teen gets removed while asking immigration minister a question during Tory BBQ
In reading the story Mohamed admits to interrupting “as Kenney was speaking” with making a statement and if this is not designed for the sole purpose to be disruptive and to heckle the speaker (Kenney), who others had come to listen to it certainly accomplishes that. The meeting had a chairman, and the meeting was to be conducted in a civil manner, and since Mohamed chose to ignore any basic and simple rules of conduct at a meeting, it can be assumed his sole purpose was to cause a scene and be disruptive.,
It is sad and very negligent on the part of your weekend editor in his choice of language, used for the headline to this story, which most would agree was misleading and totally at variance with the truth and the facts, which anybody will gather from the story or the video. There is little doubt that most would agree with the headline carried by the National Post
Protester tossed from Tory barbecue after heckling Jason Kenney during speech
Given that many readers only take the time to read the headline, and not the substance of the story, the Free Press has made a very grievous error in posting this inaccurate and reckless headline. What is of more concern is – was this action inadvertent by the weekend editor or was this a calculated and premeditated act.
I suggest that the weekend editor and the Winnipeg Free Press owe an apology to Jason Kenney and readers of the Free Press if integrity and credibility is a value of the Winnipeg Free Press.

This sorry ass stunt looked pre-planned and staged
