I’m not saying Toronto mayor Rob Ford getting caught by some public vigilante driving and reading isn’t a story but it would certainly be nice if the media would put it into a little bit of context.
And when I say context, I mean let’s compare Ford’s ticketable driving violation to when the then NDP leader Jack Layton was caught by the police naked in a known brothel while a city councillor (see here)
I’m sure if Layton was captured on this whorehouse’s security camera, they would have run that video right?

If it had been Ford , or any other Conservative politician, there would have been velvet touch video.
There would have been interviews with the “Massuse”
It would still be in the “news cycle” spin machine, the tissue issue would have been vetted for dna.
Media Party peanut gallery, look at them shaming themselves.
Looking south the news anchors aren’t even pretending to be unbiased, reguirgating Demo-rat talking points.
Truth is seldom found in our media.

It’s tough being a Conservative at any level of politics and nowhere more so than Toronto. Ford is a prime target, he really can’t make a misstep of any sort without getting media attention. When this shot was taken he may have been at a stop light but they got the shot, what more do they need?

The man just got out of the hospital – can they not just leave him alone for five minutes. And of course all the lefties on council and in the media are pushing for him to waste tax payer dollars by getting a driver.
Maybe he can be like smiling Jack Layton, and ride an eco friendly bike for the media. Meanwhile off camera, his chauffeured car creeps along after him, acting like a mobile officer and filing cabinet. I don’t recall the Star calling attention to that.

The picture is not a video so the photographer hasn’t proven that he was moving and in fact if I were to simple see this pic as is, it looks as though he is parked. Now having heard the creep asking the questions, I’d make my vehicle my office too simply to get away from morons like her.
I’d suggest to Mayor Ford to put a tail on all these hypocrites because they too are part of the ‘distracted driving’ issue. They tweet their mindless hearts out and no one can tell me that they are sitting at a desk as a pencil pusher the whole time.
If the Star and it’s ilk were to ban twittering, texting while “distracted”…….. this crap would stop that second because they cannot do their job otherwise.

I’d like to know more about how this photo came about. Was it really just an average motorist who happened to be driving parallel to him? Or was it someone who had been following him? Not that they’re in the direct employ of, let’s say, the Star, but as a citizen doing the bidding of the paper? It’s been known to happen and, in fact, the Star encourages it. If so, kinda creepy, if you ask me. Kinda like paparazzi stalkers.
While one cannot condone what the mayor did, technically what he did isn’t illegal because there’s no laws on the books preventing such, as has been pointed out by the OPP. While ST. Jack’s activities were illegal. More over, and worse, anathema to his beliefs. So your point, dean, of the media making one a story but not the other underscores their hypocrisy nicely. As bad as that is, however, what’s more disturbing is that they’re aware of it, know it’s fact-based and bullet-proof, but just don’t care, shrugging and smirking, probably with an evil grin.

Look at the rain drops on the passenger window………..straight down. Anyone who has ever driven in the rain knows how those water droplets would be moving….side to side. It seems like he is parked to me. I call BS on this picture, too.

The Ford hatred shown by the G@M and the Star has become laughable do not even bother to read Ford stories in either paper anymore. Best one is when Stars editors consideered Fords trip to KFC major earthbreaking news
