Chronicle Herald’s McLeod has hissy-fit over Sun News’ Harper interview

Everything you need to know about the Ottawa Press Gallery clique Mean Girls is right here within this Tweet by member Paul McLeod:

The Prime Minister won’t do interviews with Parliament Hill journalists, but if you write a puff piece like this guy…

McLeod then links this article by Sun News’ Brian Lilley

In response, Harper’s director of communications Andrew MacDougall slaps down the whiny McLeod:

So, not only did McLeod show everyone his bunched up panties on-line, he exposed for all to see how his hatred for Harper and Lilley clouds his ability to do his job.

  1. Alain Says:

The hatred for the PM and SNN and the dishonesty never ceases. Anyone who watches SNN, including ByLine knows that contrary to the leftists, Brian Lilley and others on SNN are not committed shills for the PM or the CPC. They do not hesitate to call the government out when applicable, while the leftists would never do the same with their own. So the bias is on the Left.

  2. Blame Crash Says:

The lying media frauds are low-life pack rats that hide the truth about anything that doesn’t suit their leftist agenda. Fortunately for Canada, enough of us can see the motives of these deceivers and cons. The proof of that is the results of the last federal election.

  3. Michael Harkov Says:

What an ass. And then to compound his hack-kneed idiocy, Paul McLeod sullenly responds to Mr. MacDougall’s list of journalists with, “so to whom should I send my interview requests”, knowing he has been caught out as a fool. Woops!!! Uh, oh!!

I’m sure he won’t be getting a PM interview anytime soon. And if I were Mr. Macdougall I would respond further to this hack by saying, “you want an interview, eh? In your dreams, pal”.

  4. Michael Harkov Says:

By they way, is there any picture, ANY picture at all where Kady O’Malley doesn’t have a cutesay-look-at-me-the-attention-monger-incapable-of-ANY-seriousness” expression on her vapid little face? Just asking.

  5. Bubba Brown Says:

Indeed I watched the interview, PM Harper is a giant standing amongst pygmies, he gets it.
Thomas Muclair his line of traffic cones from Quebec not so much.
I don’t care in the least what the talking heads think, Peter Mandsbridge is sure quiet on the Embassy closing this week.
Our Leader was paying attention, Obama was campaigning and playing golf, Americans died.

  6. bubba_einstein@yahoo.com Says:

Are these idiots TRYING to look stupid?
Or do they just enjoy a good spanking?
Talk about MaDdougal making McLeod his *****!

  7. Liz J Says:

Who’s surprised by the response from jealous boots McLeod and his ilk? They have nothing good to say, no favourable news to report on PM Harper, they ignore it all or put it on page six, then have the gall to pretend they are somehow shunned by the PM?
We’re dealing with incompetent journalistic *********, so busy trying to skewer the best PM we’ve had in memory they’ve lost whatever credibility they MAY have had,

  8. Woody Says:

Note to P McLeod:: The Prime Minister of our Great Country, is more than willing to sit down and have an interview with the Canadian journalists.
You could prepare yourself for this event, by having more than one gotcha question. Because when He answers it with a full paragraph of information, and you will be able to actually write a story. The Leader of this country is not able to run it on 140 character tweets and he needs more than a twit to be able to convey the information that is available.
You should get yourself a job at a coffee shop. Then you will be able to enter into conversations that you yourself can understand like…
    “Hi”
“What kind of coffee would you like today?”
    “I’ll get that for you”
    “Nice talking to you”

It appears you and yours have been trained to ask a gotcha question and then go and write a puff piece full of Sh*7, (sorry my bad), a piece full of information that you have to convey to the people of this country.

You really should try another line of work
    We’re on to you.

    Woody

  9. antfrm Says:

it really does **** off these lightweights that Harper pays absolutely no attention to their leftist, entitlist BS, and we so love it when he ignores them – watching Harper’s interview was pure fresh air

  10. Bocanut Says:

    Great pic of Canadian Journalosers.

  11. Peter Says:

The hissy-fit McLeod had about Harper not doing interviews with parliament hill journalists has been destroyed and shot full of holes with Andrew MacDougall’s list of legitimate and seasoned non-partisan reporters that have had interviews with the Prime Minister ( McLeod shows his inexperience and his lack of energy (lazy) to do due diligence and research in making comment, or possibly he knows better and is only trying to make a deliberate slur hoping he can sneak it by. Can we know expect that the Chronicle-Herald will do take some disciplinary action with McLeod if they want their paper to have any serious relevancy in parliamentary reporting. He now should apologize with another tweet if he has any integrity and wants to protect his reputation as a parliamentary reporter. I suspect we shouldn’t hold our breath for that to happen.
McLeod’s appointment as Chronicle-Herald correspondent should have been suspect from the get go, when we learn that he was replacement for Stephen (Robo-Call) Maher, who invested much energy and time in a failed attempt, to smear the Conservative party with the Robo-Call fiasco, only to discredit his credentials as a serious and non-partisan journalist. If anybody benefited from writing puff pieces it was McLeod because we are told that McLeod secured Maher’s job “when he wrote a story on Maher’s departure, Maher persuaded him to apply for the position”.
The other reason McLeod was hired because as a veteran journalist opined “Younger employees are the cheaper employees,”

  12. Bubba Brown Says:

“Parliment Hill Journalists” does that mean they get lost when the have to go somewhere else for “News”
Remember when they all “went on strike” and nobody but their Moms noticed?

  13. Stan Says:

The poor little mean girls are just worried about their careers, but they shouldn’t be.
Paully can always resurrect his career by getting the paparazzi to take a few snaps of him without his panties.
Hey, it worked for Lindsay Lohan, didn’t it?

  14. john Says:

I’m glad to see the PMO is increasing it’s efforts to fight back against the MSM. Ther is no point in catering to Parl. Hill journalists. They won’t be objective anyway so why bother?

    • john Says:

I’d also like to add. I agree with Bubba Brown. I remember thier pathetic “boycott” of Harper. It was hilarious! No one cared!

It is also is fun to refer to, and remind them of this failed boycott when you talk to them. THEY HATE IT! :D

  15. Jen Says:

At least PM Harper is recognized and respected internationally more so than in his own country canada. which tells me that they(international) know what he has done still doing for our country and diplomacy.

I don’t think that half of those useless reporters have a clue about their country or who the PM is far less to ask questions on the canada.

Let me refresh their empty heads which they have a problem accepting
The NDP took illegal donations from unions SINCE 2006 which is against the EC Act. How is it that none of them in the media knew that to write something or ask the NDP about the illegal donations? Or, where is the missing $40million which the liberals took from the general public; or, whaqt about the liberals mps who still owe loans to EC from far back in 2005-6?
I guess from the reporters silence must be that they are afraid of their own kind which the NDP and Lib are fully aware off.
So what those reporters do instead….they take their fustration on CPC.

    • Liz J Says:

What about Liberals who still owe for their leadership runs? Ah, it’s nothing really, some are going to take another run at it, rack up some more debt, Martha Hall-Findlay for one. Poor Martha, she lost the leadership and lost her seat and still thinks she can raise money, so much for cock-eyed optimism Liberal style.

      • Jen Says:

These pretend journos would do well in Cuba, which begs the question ” why none of them have gone to Cuba to keep Wicary company. Apparently he is being treated royally with free access to the internet and twitter just as long he bashes his own country and not Fidel’s own behaviour towards his people who for some flee Cuba for freer life either in the States or Canada.

  16. Bubba Brown Says:

Thanks John, I think the point that the Press in this Canada misses is that PM Harper is very willing to sit down and talk.
With real Journalists, about were we are as a Country and where we are going.
    PM Harper has a plan.
I can’t say as I blame him for not wanting to waste his valuable time talking to non-entities that think they are making or breaking careers.
How much does Peter Mandsbridge get for reading the “news” to us peasants ?
Grinin’, spinin’, and makin’ **** up.
    Their Mom’s must be proud.

  17. Jen Says:

Changing the subject a bit but relates to how the media operates when it comes to certain parties.
Christy Clark apparently imo is proroguing legislation until Feb (5months) without a peep from the media but rail when the CPC prorogued for a couple of wks?

  18. jon Says:

Funny. How many PPG reporters themselves, primarily those from newspapers, have declined interview requests to appear on SNN to explain various controversies and criticisms they’ve been cited for, related to how they’ve covered PMSH and his gov’t? Cowards and hypocrites. At least SNN and their on-air personalities respond to criticisms, unlike the Media Party who run from it, only mentioning SNN when they’re taking shots at it but never ever responding to specific criticisms laid out by them against the Media Party. Simply put, because they can’t, knowing full-well that the criticisms are fact-based and bulletproof.
