It was bad enough when they extended their coverage to accommodate Liberal MP Justin Trudeau’s leadership announcement in Montreal but for the 4th straight day, the CBC has live-streamed his campaign event. (see here)
You’ll also notice that not a peep of disapproval was uttered about CBC English services executive vice-president Kirsten’s Stewart’s husband Zaib Shaikh introducing Trudeau in Mississauga yesterday. (see here)
Tell me again how the CBC is mandated to be fair and even in its coverage and isn’t a biased partisan publicly funded news organization.
Also: If you’re not quite nauseated enough, check out the Star’s Susan Delacourt’s BS justifying the Trudeau coverage here

Oh god, yes. I didn’t miss that bit of conditioning and mass manipulation.
Lots of play on “this just in”. Right up there with Vote Compass to tell the unititiated whether or not their astrological sign is Libra. .

Unsurprising for CBC.
Yahoo News often uses CBC material in it’s online reporting. Like today, it is/was running the Presidential debate numbers and against virtually every measure known, the CBC/Yahoo has managed without irony, to put up a poll indicating that Obama won the debate 60% to 40% over Romney. It indicates that 28,000 had voted. Oddly yesterday 286,000 had voted 74-21-4 for Romney….on the Yahoo news site. Today they were simply tired of those numbers I guess.
October 5, 2012 at 9:31 AM
Yeah, I also noticed that. Funny how even the American Left has been forced to admit that Obama lost it big time and only the CBC and its “viewers” thought Obama won. That for me indicates just how bad and rotten the state broadcaster is. It needs to be sold off; the sooner the better.
October 5, 2012 at 10:07 AM
I noticed that as well. Even CNN and many left-wing pundits were conceding that Obama got his rear handed to him after building up this fervour around him. They were dazed and shocked how badly he stumbled. But nope, not the CBC and their following band of reavers. Look at the comments……….they are not even ashamed that they were so far in left field, as it were. They are even proud of it!
I keep hearing how CBC followers (usually from the CBC followers themselves) are intelligent and well-informed, but I guess it is easy to believe that about yourself when all you have to do is create your own reality.
Considering this and the 24/7 wall-to-wall coverage of Trudeau from day one of his leadership campaign, and many, many, MANY other examples that would be so easy to point out, NO ONE can say that there isn’t a bias there. It is obvious.
How Hubert Lacroix, the media party over there, and the rest of their sycophantic hacks can look at themselves in the mirror every morning is a mystery. But when it is done on bottomless tax handouts, maybe that makes it easier. Jackals, one and all.

Did you see Dom Leblanc’s endorsement announcements hitching up to Justin’s little red wagon. Tens of thousands of people? Does he mean Justin’s twitter account. The one that was padded out in the run up to the big charity boxing match. I don’t think Quebec is all that interested.
Why does Justin sound like he’s still giving his father’s eulogy? Why so breathkless and eery sounding. God, he’s awful at public speaking.
October 6, 2012 at 11:38 AM
Justin is a drama teacher, they all talk like they are auditioning for Hamlet.
Take comfort in the fact that if the media is never going to ask him a tough question, and nobody in the lpc is allowed to test him, his first real tough question will be the leaders debate.
I love a coronation, I mean its worked so well when they did it for Iggy.
October 5, 2012 at 9:28 AM
Wait, this is just getting started. If we thought the “all Jack, all the time” coverage was going to be nauseating, this is going to be much, much worse.
And here is the thing. Remember how for the last four years the American MSM carried Obama and were left reeling and shell-shocked after his terrible performance in the Presidential Debate? The exact same thing is going to happen up here with Trudeau. The Canadian MSM/PPG is going to build Trudeau up, and build him up, and build him up further yet in their hopes that he will rescue the dying Liberal Party. They are going to build a proverbial Tower Of Babel around this silver-spooned fop so high that when he finally fails and falls, there is going to be a crater larger than Crater Tycho on the moon.
October 5, 2012 at 9:39 AM
By they way, I went to leave a comment on Delacourt’s article you link to above, and surprise, surprise, no comments allowed. Gee Delcourt, if all this Trudeau coverage is REALLy what we want, why won’t you actually give a chance for people to say otherwise at the end of that article? But it doesn’t really matter does it? Not as long as we keep paying our taxes to fund this bloated, biased billion dollar monstrosity.
October 5, 2012 at 9:41 AM
“People who aren’t crazy about Trudeau — yes, there are some ”
“Some” in this case means about 95% of Canadians over twelve.
October 5, 2012 at 10:42 AM
Ah, so precious, it’s all in the family, CBC and Liberals.
Justin could use a course in public speaking to get off his penchant for emoting. It’s hard to take someone serious when they appear to be play acting.
October 5, 2012 at 11:08 AM
I hate the CBC. Why do I have to pay for it? So some progessive latte drinking ******* can listen to the echo chamber at mt expense? If the friends of the CBC think its so great let them pay for it.
October 5, 2012 at 11:35 AM
I agree with most of the thread comments. The CBC is a pit of vipers who will never change their views on Conservative ideals. Heck, even when the Cons pull off a triple play, they do not receive the coverage which would advance credit to them. Heaven forbid, they should receive credit for a good deed.
There is not one of those slugs who would do the “right thing” but be first at the trough and ready to disparage the Cons at the drop of a hat.
They don’t even try to hide the bias anymore.
Mr. PM, cut these parasites loose and let them sink or swim.
WRT Dominic LeBlanc – Bowing down to Trudeau indicates a low self-esteem and is better off for Canadians.
Remember, Trudeau still has to win a federal election – Which he will not.
October 5, 2012 at 11:47 AM
Trudeau is an entertainer when the show is over people go home. Ask those same people to have Trudeau handle their finances that’s when the public wakes up.
October 5, 2012 at 12:32 PM
I have avoided CBC for the last week or so, to keep propoganda of JT and Omar Khadr to a minimum. I noticed how JT leaked news of his entry a week in advance, so the msm could carry the story for a week, which they promptly did. CBC/CTV don’t even mind being manipulated this way, although some individual reporters might.
Just imagine the delation in his camp if serious reporters carried the news for one day, and went one to other news.
October 5, 2012 at 4:22 PM
Reason 1,000,000 and counting why the cbc has to go. The msm has done everything in the US to get Oboma re-elected and thank goodness they have fox news. Thank goodness we have sun news network here. Nobody remembers 13% unemployment, 22% interest rates, alienation ner say contempt for the west, and the flq and constitution crisis under daddy’s watch.
He used immigration like cattle for there vote, and Justin’s quote of this countries built on it’s diversity is the start of his stratdegy as well. Make’s me want to puke.
Also who in there right mind watches the cbc or reads the star? haha
October 5, 2012 at 4:36 PM
I agree thats it’s despicable for the CBC to be campaigning for Trudeaus kid, but pretty much every “news” outlet in the country is doing the same thing. Canadians are currently being carpet bombed by the media in a cynical attempt at re- manufacturing the mental illness known as “Trudeaumania”. It’s sickeningly dishonest and corrupt, but IMO, it won’t work. Look for the inevitable media commisioned polls next week, that usually follow this type of over the top P R exercise. Canadians will eventually see through the media campaign of trudopian manipulation, and see the dopey Dauphin for the empty-headed, substitute drama teacher with an infamous name that he really is. It’s all so nauseatingly predictable and corrupt, but eventually the Liberals and their media whores will be longing for the days of they’re past saviours, Dion and Iggo. Trudeaus kid will be seen as the self important, narcissistic, drama teaching nit wit that he really is… Canadians were fooled once by a Turdo, they won’t be fooled twice, not by the glassy eyed, imbecile Justine Sinclair.

During the time when Iraq and some countries were at war an american reporter on the grounds of bagdad was I guess looking for interviews with the Iraqi people.
She with her interpreter encountered 5-7 iraqi men sitting in a cafe shop with tiny radio around listening attentively
She asked what they were listening too and they responded ‘to the outside world’
What for she asked they said ‘to get some form of information regarding to the war in their country.’
‘Why don’t you ask your media for the information you seek’
‘ THAT IS NOT OUR MEDIA THAT IS SADDAM’S MEDIA.’ they shouted at the reporter.
In other words folks, those iraqi men are like us, we can’t get any information from the media pertaining to issues regarding to the liberals and ndp because, like the Iraqis said that media is not ours is saddams… in ours case, the canadian media is not ours belongs to the liberals and ndp.
You see, those iraqi men saw right through their media to look elsewhre for information. Well, we are doing the exact same thing.
Also, there are immigrants here who can see right through the canadian media for the crap they are because they have done their own research to even applaud the PM Harper for taking actions against the brutal Iranian regime.
When the reporting is too much of the same of the same tune something smells, thats when you look elsewhere.
.
October 6, 2012 at 4:25 AM
Sickening… stop the public funding of this (to use the great Justin Trudeau’s words), “piece of sh*t”.
October 6, 2012 at 6:46 AM
I use to get all worked up about the CBC, and I still do because of the job-for-life culture that it seems to have, but in terms of their influence on politics I think it’s in steep decline: just think about the last election, as hard as they tried to defeat Harper they came up flat and looking quite bizarre in their flailing to do him in. The CBC can build up Trudeau… it will only lead to his failure. It’s not really in our nature to follow media super-stars (save Layton, but he was really just a joke-vote for the hillbilly separatist state), so I say, give their viewers Trufrow day-and-ni tight …. please!
October 6, 2012 at 7:37 AM
How the PM won the elections was nothing than miracles.
The msm tried every which to find fault with him and his party but the CPC kept on winning and, not only that, their seats increased each election. Amazing eh Frank.
If the Iranian/Canadians can see through the media biases to see what the PM was doing for them to be applauded by them it shows that they know the kind of media we have is not to be trusted.
Like the Iraqi men said ” That’s not our media; that’s Saddam’s own media-
Well, cbc ctv global ts g/m are not my media they are the liberals ndp own media.
October 6, 2012 at 9:10 AM
Framing, agenda setting and priming on display, all the time.
October 6, 2012 at 8:51 AM
Did anyone see the Peter Mansbridge panel last Thursday night… His big question was “WHY” did the French network not carry Justin’s announcement live??? Can you imagine?? As if he was the most important “thing” on earth… The reason they had Obama winning the other night with their poll…. they always poll the same group… mostly their employees – that is how they are sure to get the lliberal results they want!!!
October 6, 2012 at 9:17 AM
Forgot to mention – did anyone see and “hear” Justin’s announcement the other night on TV – the one he made out West – saying the pipline would “not” take place under his watch!!… He was being interrupted by “people” in the room – and very loudly… the CBC reporter spoke extremely loud – telling everyone to let him finish!. Can you imagine these bias liberal watchdogs following him around like a puppy dog and being paid by ALL OF US CANADIANS…. I DON’T ONE DIME OF MY MONEY GOING TO THE CBC…..AND if Harper doesn’t get rid of this bias bunch of liberals, I may almost stay home from voting next time!!!!! I know one thing, the liberals will never get rid of them, they are the only party they have right now…
October 6, 2012 at 10:20 AM
Yes, I thought it was hilarious. He’s consistently flakey and grateful to the press for running interference and giving him a pass. I didn’t see any charisma on display and he didn’t light up my living room.
October 7, 2012 at 5:47 AM
Justin trudeau’s hidden agenda. Campaign to shut down all dangerous pipelines so the oil sands industry is eventually destroyed.
I also caught the CBC reporter dictating to the rest of the media at that press conference.
Please Prime Minister sell the CBC.
October 6, 2012 at 11:32 AM
In other news, Celine Dion has considered using her celebrity status to make a run at the liberal leadership. Snubbing the critics that contend she has little political experience, she would fufill the liberal parties un written rule of alternation. A qualification not possessed by any other declared candidate.
October 6, 2012 at 12:01 PM
Do you know that one of the ‘toronto 18′ intentions was to BLOW UP CBC-you didn’t know that? That same terrorist went to jail for his attempt on CBC.
Do you know that the Taliban watches CBC everyday.
October 15, 2012 at 10:51 PM
People, get over it. If you don’t like how the CBC covers something, DON’T WATCH IT!
October 15, 2012 at 11:04 PM
And where do we sign off on paying for it?
