It may be best for the PM to meet with Spence and make the meeting public, let the facts come out, expose the lies being spewed, it’s just another battering ram for the media and opposition to use against the PM. They’re all in it together.

Appears the Chief of Attawapiskat thinks she’s head of a nation and deserves to meet with the head of the nation she gets all the big bucks from without accountability. Indian Affairs Minister Duncan has offered to meet with her but she refused his offer. Forgive us for thinking accountability would cramp her style, it’s all about that sense of entitlement gone amok.
How long before Mulcair shows up by her side to sympathize with her suffering?
It may be a case of either way be-damned for the PM.

Chief Spence earned a salary of about $71,000 including travel allowance and other benefits. Stephen Harper earns a salary of $296,400, and receives benefits and travel allowances on top of that. Plus a sweet lifetime pension.
Incidentally, Harper is the 6th highest paid world leader.

“I was appointed Co-Manager of the First nation July 16 2010, by its’ (then) chief and council”
Clayton Kennedy – boyfriend of Chief Spence is co-manger and director of finance of Attawapiskat First Nation and manages finances on Attawapiskat‏ – now isn’t that a cozy relationship? “We do the books
together” – how convenient for Chief Spence and boyfriend but not so much for taxpayers and band members.

I read in todays Sun newspaper that Chief Spence was not really in a ‘Hunger strike’ -she lived off Fish Broth and Tea.

It ( double chin) should have disappeared a long time ago Peter. Her cheeks would have sunk in and her eye sockets hollow- but to me, she looks just fine and very healthy.

Thanks for the mention of that affidavit by Clayton Kennedy,peter. If you scroll through it, he mentions that he has a consulting firm that “consults” with several FN Bands.
And THAT is extremely suspicious,the Band Chief’s boyfriend is the financial officer and also consults on other matters for which he is paid by the Band.
Hypothetical question: If Laureen Harper had an MBA,her CGA,and 15 years with a major accounting firm, would it be okay for Steve to appoint her Auditor -General of Canada?
Why,or why not? If it’s okay for Chief Spence to appoint her live-in spouse as the Band’s de facto A-G,why can’t the PM do it?
