Citizen’s Gardner follows Kady’s lead and defends Soros

Ya, big surprise that a columnist who writes Harper hit pieces thinks Soros is a great guy:

“Having spent the last four years being amazed and appalled by Stephen Harper’s style of governance — cynical, ruthless, controlling, unprincipled, and proudly ignorant of basic facts — I thought I had seen the worst. But then the news of Graham James’s pardon broke” (see here)

Gardner then lends credibility to a hard-core Leftie blogger’s defense of Soros here and Tweet’s about Ezra Levant’s piece on Soros:

Makes me wonder what all this Soros-love going on in the Ottawa Press Gallery is really about.

Just more ‘any enemy of my enemy is my friend’…

”..unprincipled, and proudly ignorant of basic facts..”
that is just an outright lie, but our ntl media are known for making things up.

“And a few less vicious ideologues” ?????

Oh Danny, they don’t get more vicious than you and unfortunately you get a big soapbox to spew your double standard rhetoric.

With guys like this, it’s an “ideologue” when they disagree with them because in their world, THEIR VENOM smells like roses and sounds like truth.

  3. Rose Says:

The left using the old and tired “Out of context” thang again, what they really mean is he meant to say the following but didn’t or you misunderstood sorry but I’ve read the transcripts and he said what he said.

Quite obviously none of these Press galleries ***hats have been in a board room with Soros, or they would think Harper’s leadership style absolutely saintly. Soros didn’t get to be the billionaire leftist ideologue and Democratic power-broker by being all soft and cuddly… But then the old saying rings true for our leftist gossip columnists – he maybe an *******, but he’s our *******.

  5. The Grey Lady Says:

Dab Gardner who thinks that democratically elected Christians should be barred from ministry of science portfolios because they just might be biased in their decision making for funding. That same Dan Gardener doesn’t like it when you discuss real documented actions of foreigners who are attempting to influence Canada’s political scene by stopping a so called right wing news station that hasn’t aired one minute of news?

  6. Calgary Junkie Says:

Well the lefties can dance in the streets, in a few days, on the anniversary of Black Wednesday:

Black Wednesday refers to the events of 16 September 1992 when the [UK] Conservative government was forced to withdraw the pound sterling from the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) after they were unable to keep sterling above its agreed lower limit.

George Soros, the most high profile of the currency market investors, made over US$1 billion profit by short selling sterling.

In 1997 the UK Treasury estimated the cost of Black Wednesday at £3.4

Normally, the lefties of all stripes, just despise futures traders, especially short sellers. Go figure.

I wonder if probably all these people sucking up to Soros know something that we don’t. Could it be that Soros has put out feelers to buy some of our media outlets using his money through a Canadian company. It’s more than possible.
The man is truly evil and has so much money that throwing away tens of millions a day will not make even a whisper of a dent in his unholy wealth.

  8. Doug W Says:

Gardner is a dimwitted baby leftard liberal hack..but mostly a dimwit.
What with PsotMedia’s take over of the Citizen headed by LONG time liberal d**shb*g Paul Godfrey; expect more and more of this kind of wooly headed Trudeau-pian mindspeak swill sloshing over the editorial pages of this once great paper….now just another liberal rag.
