Two celebrity hypocrites getting some comeuppance

It’s nice to see Bono and James Cameron beginning to receive a little media attention exposing their hypocrisy.

Both of these two have meddled in Canadian politics to push their agendas.

Bono shilled for Paul Martin at the “leadership” convention in 2003 as the keynote speaker:

“If (Paul Martin) shows the world the same commitment I saw during the drop the debt campaign…If he carries the mantle of Trudeau, Pearson and Chrétien… then Canada, Oh Canada, will show the world the way forward.”

The Telegraph has run a column highlighting Bono’s charity One as a poverty organization that spends all its money on wages and expensive gift promotions given to the media. It also reminds the readers of Bono pulling his money out of Ireland for tax saving reasons.

Then there is by far the biggest eco-celeb-nut hypocrite James Cameron who is currently campaigning to stop Alberta’s oil sands. Ezra Levant does a good job of shoving the words back down this carbon abusing clown’s throat.

Cameron – [Ours]“will be a dying world if we don’t make some fundamental changes about how we view ourselves and how we view wealth. “We’re going to have to live with less.”

Levant – when he says “we” should live with less, he means “you” should. Cameron’s press tour to promote Avatar took him to 107 cities. Perhaps he’ll “live with less” for Avatar II, by flying to just 100 cities.

“Who are you to judge that a tycoon living in an 8,000-square-foot house, with an adjacent 6,000-square-foot house for staff, can’t also be an expert on modest living?”

Cameron – “call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out. F—— a——. I believe in ecoterrorism.”

Levant – “If Cameron swears off oilsand oil because it doesn’t meet his ethical standards, where does he buy his jet fuel from?” See Levant column here

It is so hard to live modestly and lower your greenie footprint! For all you fools who gave money to Bono – your generosity has been appreciated. Fine wine, youg women and fast cars. Were these items shipped to Africa to lift the poor out of their despair? No siree Bob, but I’m sure the Bono thought of Africa as he was messing with your money. Regarding Cameron, another eco-hypocrite – global lifestye and I betcha he ain’t eating food produced within 100 miles of his home. Cheers.

Who in the hell is Cameron to dictate to us about canada economical engine.
What about Nigeria, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Venezuela- why doesn’t he go there and tell the dictators how to run their oil wells and so on. COWARD.

I thought the media was against foreign influence in our politics, as is the coalition. Think NRA and their supposed interference re the gun debate.

    • Jen Says:

      BINGO! Maryt,

But as long as it is the ‘far left’ they are welcome.

MaryT, a question for you: “Who do you think that the media will interview with great joy- CHAVEZ or PM. HARPER.
Which country do you think that they want Canada to be like-USA under OBAMA or under PM. Harper.

Don’t you think it is time we quizz the media on the net? I am sure that they will get a kick out of it.

  5. Mary T Says:

And maybe we should cancel all donations to Africa and let Bono put his money where his mouth is.

Sorse still, Cameron is a FORMER Canadian who turned tail and ran for the big money in Hollywood, but he’s still trying to tell us what to do.

Remember that campaign showing Bono & other celebs telling us every time they clapped their hands, or snapped their fingers, a child dies in Africa?

Don’t you wish that every time you clap your hands Bono & other sanctimonious pontificating celebs get a swift kick in the arse?

I’m clapping as hard as I can.

BONO-DONO how to ask AFRICAN DICTATORS to help their people instead, he crawls into Canada to ask her to continue give the dictators billions of dollars so that the dictators and their military can flourish.

    • Mary T Says:

I loved the reply one young student gave, quit clapping your hands.

boycot Cameron’s films and boycot Bono
whenever I get told to do with less I know I am being lied to by someone that is getting a lot and benefitting from telling me to do with less
    does this make sense?

    • Jen Says:

Of course it makes sense-to them that is. for example.
Al Gore tells his countryman who have nothing much: to conserve energy, by washing clothes by hand and hanging them to dry; To use let heat and so on.
The reason behind it is that, the less you use the more for him since he has three mansions; a newly built mansion on the ocean front and of course three cars and a brand new jet.
