Scott Reid: Do as I say now, not what I did then

Paul Martin’s former communications director and one of the key people involved in the Chretien/Martin internal Liberal power struggle, Scott Reid, has the audacity to write a piece advising others not to settle old scores.

“Rear view recriminations will do exactly nothing to help renew and revitalize the party” (see here)

This is coming from the same guy who along with Martin’s other “Board” members David Herle, Tim Murphy, Terrie O’Leary and Michele Cadario did everything they could to reduce Chretien and his cronies’ influence after wrestling the control of the Liberal Party away from them (see here).

Well, I have to disagree with you here. Scott Redi, seems to have leanred form his mistakes. So this is why he is telling them not to do it again. New face new ideas. Unlike the cons who “stay the course” and do just that. Nothing to offer Canadians but DEBT. I understand that his words have you pissed off, because after all I am sure you want them to fight again. But that will not happen, and you will have to deal with it.

For the sake of the country – I hope the Liberals stop eating their own and get down to the hard work of rebuilding the party and its policies. The newly minted NDP/Quebecsters are a scary bunch of separatists.. Cheers.

You should have heard Scott and Ian going at each other re afghan mission on Power and Politics. There were even some bad words used. I don’t think Scott liked being in the PM’s office when the troops were sent. He said we were invited to go there.

Scotty is just trying to work his way back on the inside considering Boob Rae is Jean’s boy.
