4 NDP MPs raise $2500 for 450 union workers

NDP MP Paul Dewar led the ‘effort’ to fundraise for the now ex-Caterpillar union members who lost their jobs when CAT played hardball on salary negotiations and CAW chose no-jobs over less wages.

Besides Dewar (yes, from the family of John Dewar & Sons) NDP MPs Charlie Angus, Claude Gravelle and Glenn Thibeault were in on raising the whopping total of $5.55 per out-of-work union brother and sister. (see here)

Wonder if they were told not to spend it all in one place?

Update: In another example of faux union support, Marks Work Wearhouse is pulling CAT merchandise from its stores (see here). Curious what the average wage paid there is?
