Video: Amateur shows how to easily make a fake Rob Ford video

zerbisias

I take this how the maker of the video intended it – he’s calling out the media who stated that it is impossible to fake a Rob Ford crack-smoking video.

Trudeau says he supports Senate because “It’s to our advantage” in Quebec

blue steel

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau has now stated he won’t support any Senate reform that would take away Quebec’s political sway over every other province:

“We have 24 senators from Quebec and there are just six from Alberta and British Columbia. It’s to our advantage” (see here)

That sure doesn’t sound like a PM in waiting does  it?

Looking forward to the Media Party trying to cover for Trudeau after once again playing up this divisive ‘us vs them’ political game.

Collecting money to track down Jack Layton’s hooker

layton massage velvet touch

After witnessing the death of Canadian journalism when the Globe and Mail sent out two of its reporters (for over a year) to dig into the Rob and Doug Ford’s family – uncovering alleged hash deals from the 80s (see here) and the media collecting money for the alleged Rob Ford crack video (see here), the idea of the Media Party having spent equal time unearthing the prostitute that NDP leader Jack Layton used while a Toronto city councillor cropped up in conversation.

Many in the media were fully aware of the Layton massage parlour story as it had been shopped around by Liberal operatives:

Andrew Coyne – “Actually, somebody did tell me a couple of months ago this was floating around”

Jonathan Kay – “For those who care, someone tried to shop me the Layton-massage story 2 yrs ago (without docs). It was a Liberal fixer”

Yet they all collectively spiked it and even when Sun News finally revealed it, Layton’s defenders in the Media Party came out to condemn and/or ridicule the story:

Andrew Coyne – “I guess all I can say is I’d rather be caught naked in a massage parlour than fully clothed working for SunNews”

Kady O’Malley – “This is not an official police report but a contemporaneous account by the source”

Now, imagine the Media Party’s reaction if I were to set up an on-line collection system to hire a private investigator in order look into who Layton’s hooker was and her connections in the prostitution and possible immigrant human-trade underworld.

They would support me right?

NDP MP caught owing $58,000 in back taxes

benskin

I’m sure the irony of a socialist not paying his fair share of taxes will be lost on the Lefty media and other NDP supporters:

Revenue Quebec says NDP MP Tyrone Benskin owes nearly $60,000 in back taxes and plans to garnish his salary until it is repaid.

Court documents indicate the 54-year-old former actor did not pay all or part of his provincial tax bill between 2007 and 2011. (see here)

Just don’t bet on NDP leader Mulcair doing the right thing and kicking Benskin out of caucus.

Hoang Mai

Update: A 2nd NDP MP has been now outed as owing back taxes as well

Another NDP MP, Hoang Mai, is also in the process of paying money back that is owed to Quebec’s revenue agency.

“I was self-employed before I became a member of Parliament and I still owed some taxes. I made arrangements with the Quebec government to meet my obligations and pay my taxes, as every citizen should. I declared this entire matter to the ethics commissioner,” Mai said in a statement.

The MP for Brossard–La Prairie worked as a lawyer in private practice and is the former treasurer of the NDP’s Quebec chapter. When he was elected in 2011 he was named revenue critic but in January 2013, Mulcair moved him to the role of deputy justice critic. Mai did not say in his statement how much money he owes to the government. (see here)

Why hasn’t Mulcair removed Mai as critic as well?

Financial Post’s Peter Foster rips Postmedia colleague Andrew Coyne for having Harper Derangement Syndrome

National--At-Issue coyne

The Financial Post’s Peter Foster took two of the Media Party’s biggest names, CBC’s Neil MacDonald and National Post’s Andrew Coyne, apart for their blind hatred of PM Stephen Harper:

What this [Duffy] “affair” has exposed more than anything is a pandemic of Harper Derangement Syndrome, combining lack of  proportion with an almost psychopathic desire on the part of the media to “get” a Prime Minister who won’t pander to their self-importance. (see here)

Nice to finally see someone in the media put Andrew Coyne in his place – even better that it’s a Postmedia colleague.
