The above picture of Rob Ford was taken during the Buffalo Bills/Atlanta Falcons football game at Rogers centre (see here).

The CBC website employee who posted that photo should be fired.

Update: They’ve pulled the pic and replaced it with this one

ITS A FORGONE CONCLUSION THAT MAYOR BOB FORD IS HIS OWN WORST ENEMY. THIS PHOTO IS THE LEAST OF HIS ISSUES. THE MEDIA PARTY MUST HAVE AN AUDIENCE FOR THEIR FAIR CONCERNING FORD. HE SELLS THEIR PAPERS, I GUESS. IT IS WE, THE PUBLIC, OR AT LEAST THE TORONTO READERS, WHO KEEPS MAYOR FORD IN THE PAPERS.

IT DOESN’T AFFECT ME THE LEAST. I LIKE TO THINK WE HERE IN GOD’S COUNTRY HAVE LONG LEFT THE ONTARIO LEFT AND WHAT PASSES AS ENTERTAINMENT THERE.

    • Bec Says:

Really? Why would anyone care or give a rats a** if the Mayor of New York or Chicago or, or, or were eating a, God forbid a ‘protein’? Unless of course they were a forbidden fruit of the media morons and a toxin to the toxic political class of which Mayor Ford has always been….to them. However, he is a human being, he is allowed to function as one and eating ‘wings’ is pretty North American.

I eat ‘wings’ often and no one takes my picture….but then I’m not a Conservative Mayor in a Socialist city.

  2. Michael Harkov Says:

Heh heh heh, ’cause he a FAT guy and he’s eting a chicken wing! Har har har!

You know what, these maggot journalists are the real pigs here.

  3. Michael Harkov Says:

Well well…….followed the link and the picture has been swapped out. Look like someone got their wee-wee slapped. Journalist pigs.

  4. Blame Crash Says:

But does this juvenile cheap shot journalism actually work or is it going to boomerang around and hit the perpetrators in the back of the head? People don’t like to be pushed around, taunted and publicly ridiculed, and don’t like to see this happen to others.
The upcoming election main issue could very well become about the bullies and the bullied. I know who I’d vote for.

    • BC Blue Says:

      Boomerang is my guess

    • Agent Smith Says:

Was talking to a guy in the security detail at St. Lawrence market in Trawna who brought it up – he was seething at the way Ford is treated. All I could get in edgewise was basically to nod my head in agreement.

  5. Stan Says:

All Ford needs to do to quiet the media witch hunt and get them on his side is to declare that he is on a hunger strike.
It worked for that fat cow, and since the media are so stupid and depraved he won’t even have to give up eating anything.
He should show up at a press conference with a burger in one hand and a beer in the other and tell them he is now officially on a hunger strike.
They will be sobbing and agonizing on air about how long he can last in his heroic and dangerous quest for justice.

This is very typical MO of the media in Canada. I have seen the most unflatering photos of the Prime Minister and Mayor Ford. Yet show very flatering photos of their opponents, like Chow, Ignatieff, Trudeau Jr., Layton, McGuinty, and Wynne. Just like in the Soviet Union, people have grown to know that the media was lieing and distorting the truth. That level of trust for the media is seriously waning in Canada. Toronto Red Star is nothing more than a hate rag, one is often challenged to find a straight news story that is not tainted with some left-wing rhetoric. CBC works in a more subtle way, but has the same agenda.

CBC resorted to such low levels because no matter what has happened, Mayor Ford has a 40% approval rating and the media can’t seem to erode it — the funny part is the fools do not seem to realize, the more they attack Ford, the more they expand his base and set the ground for him to win the next election.

  7. Bubba Brown Says:

McGuinty ate the Ontario economy, and hired a pedophile to teach children,Wynn is gonna build 9,000 more windmills. That apparently isn’t newsworthy.
PM Harper makes Senators pay back taxpayers money and that sir, is a scandal!
CBC takes a picture of Mayor Ford eating a chicken wing at a football game??
Will there be a “victem statement” from the chicken?
    Defund these bullys.

  8. Robert Says:

We have included your post in our ‘Around the Blogs’ section at Looniepolitics.com.

  9. Martin Says:

Presumably Libby Davies eats in public, why not have a camera crew follow her around to record it? How about Liz May; just fill in your favourite non conservative male and think how unlikely you are to ever see such a sight.

  10. RJ65 Says:

I have wondered for a number of years why the media seems to look for the most unflattering pictures they can find of people, even when they are just looking for a file photo that is not related to the story. It just seems to be poor taste all around.

  11. Ian Says:

I don’t agree with the photo, but Rob Ford should listen to his PR people and stay out of the limelight for awhile. Sure he has the right to go wherever he pleases but I think all he’s doing now is goading the media into reporting on his actions. I bet he ate the chicken wing on purpose to see what reaction it would get. Who knows. If he stayed out of sight for awhile it would be better for him.

  12. marryt Says:

I saw the same clip at Fox yesterday.

    • Jen Says:

As if no one eats wings or nachos or drinks tons of beer at any games in the states or here.
The media have so much to report on the liberals taking our money refusing to obey a judge’s rule among other things but, the MEDIA ARE TOO DAM SCARED OF LIBERALS They are a JOKE.
