David Suzuki flies into Toronto to attend Neil Young’s anti-oil concert

It’s bad enough that the obviously mentally unstable Neil Young is putting on this concert and getting the media attention for his bizarre anti-oil sands statements but David Suzuki puts the hypocritical cherry on the top.

Just don’t expect anyone from the Media Party to call him out for it.

Update: A brilliant response to Young and Suzuki from Ryan Simper

Two old has been’s trying to keep there names in the news. What a joke. They are both using the natives and the oil sands for there own public grandstanding. When are these old fools going to give up.

  2. Mary Hines Says:

Did David travel “Economy” class – or on his “private” jet?

Neil Young and Suzuki look like a fine pair of old hippies from the sixties. They’d get a great welcome in Saudi Arabia. Maybe Young could write and sing a rant song against Alberta Oil Sands and his own country and have it translated into Arabic. If Suzuki were serious about his “carbon footprint” he’d be making his appearances using Skype.

    What a pair of jackasses.

Another bunch of record albums and CD’s for the scrap heap, along with Cat Stevens and Blue Rodeo. Fortunately, I never wasted any money on U2…

Question is “where do all that oil which comes from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and other foreign oil travel through when those tankers arrive at the Canadian ports- do the oil flow into the pipelines?”

  6. Jen Says:

Here is a graph of Suzuki’s carbon footprint just so he can attend an event in Ontario to ridicule the very item( OIL) he uses daily:

The total carbon emissions for a flight from Vancouver Island to Ontario is:
    1,083 lbs CO2 / 491 kg CO2e / 0.49 tonnes

“Well I heard Mister Young sing about her. Well, I heard ole Neil put her down. Well I hope Neil Young will remember – A Northern man don’t need him around anyhow. Sweet Home ALBERTA, where the skies are so BLUE, and the Guv’ment’s true. Sweet Home ALBERTA…Lord, I’m coming home to you.” (Kudos and a tip-of-the-hat to Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Young doesn’t look like he’s missed too many meals lately. If he lives in the Northern Hemisphere he must eat food that is grown, harvested, transported, processed, cooled and cooked with some reliance on oil. Even rock personalities would not survive too long in this century without the advantages of petroleum products.
Even the converted vehicle he claims to have driven over 1000 miles without oil, would require some kind of lubrication; I doubt if it comes from pressed vegetable oil.

  9. Stan Says:

Poor old Dr. Kawasaki…he just can’t catch a break anymore..

  10. Neil still trying to be Young | Blue Like You Says:

[…] Young is one such offender among so many others such as David Suzuki, Darryl Hannah, Paul McCartney, Pamela Anderson and the list goes on and […]
