National Post’s Jeet Heer calls Mark Steyn a “racist”

jeet heer

Jeet Heer works at the National Post as a journalist focusing on Arts and Culture:

As does Mark Steyn who writes columns for them:

Which leaves the National Post’s management in a sticky situation after Heer posted this libellous tweet about Steyn and to which Justin Trudeau’s top advisor Gerald Butts responded:

butts steyn

Hard to imagine someone keeping their job after calling a coworker an “ignorant racist” in public.

Amazing how Justin Trudeau gets serious treatment from anyone who can count to 5.

  2. Bubba Brown Says:

I would love to see Trudeau sit down and have an adult conversation with Mark Steyn.
As for calling someone a “racist” it just joins the words, Natzi, Hitler, fascist, that signal who just lost the argument.

    • Rod Says:

HA! That would be awesome, but it would never happen. Even Libs know that Justin is a hollow shell, but they’re hoping to ride his last name to power. There’s no way that Justin’s handlers would put a guy that needs to read off of cue-cards in a room with Mark Steyn. That last thing they would do is expose their leader as even more of a dupe than he’s done himself alreday.

    • Linkmeister Says:

An adult conversation between Steyn and Trudeau the Younger would never happen, as Steyn would be the only adult in the room

My butt the left are ramping up the rhetoric on all things conservative these days. One could almost believe there was an election in the near future. The progressives are feeling empowered from the south and as such can’t escape their nasty penchant for wanting to ramp up the nasty side swipes along with the sanctimonious.
Id like to see butts or heer sit down with Mark Steyn and have a meaningful dialogue. I imagine he’d have no problem…them not so sure.
Let’s face the hard facts here and realize that these folks have no intention of sharing in any real form of congenial dialogue.
Such is the nature of the beast .

Racist “progressives” are always calling those that don’t worship at the alter of “progressivism” racists. As always, when a racist “progressive” screams “racism” at someone who doesn’t drink the “progressive” bath water, it’s done primarily in an attempt to shut non “progressives” up, but without the convenience of facts or reason to back up the accusation. It’s important to remember that “progressives” are always motivated by hate and intolerance, Heer is a prime example of this irrational double speak.

I’d say to Butts it’s amazing how Trudeau gets serious treatment from anyone capable of reasoned thought.
The Liberals are running an empty suit with a Trudeau name tag. Up against Steyn’s knowledge of world affairs in general, or our own Prime Minister Harper he’d be exposed for his vacuity.
Calling someone a racist is the last vestige for someone who has lost the game, it’s being over used as a silencer, lost it’s punch and should be ignored.

    • Sean M Says:

Right on… does Butts really believe Jr to be a serious person, or that he is someone who garners support from serious people…? Good grief! Butts is a tool… For someone who practices in the dark arts of Marxism and who’s strategy is to impose “class warfare” and culture wars in the hope of gaining power you have to wonder what the hell he’s blathering about… maybe he hangs around with Justine too much and the Justine stupidity virus is contagious.

The picture with this thread looks a tad like it could be an artist’s caricature of Calgary Mayor Nenshi, there is a resemblance….

Can’t wait for the first televised debate that Lil Pierre is involved in. He’s going to be eaten alive on national TV.
