Christy Clark caught hiding then lying about relationship with company she now promotes as BC premier

RCI John Park christy Clark

Last week the revelation that Liberal premier Christy Clark was partnered with her ex-husband in a lobbyist company (see here) came to light and we now we find she is pushing a company in which she used to be chairwoman of:

A leaked contract shows that B.C. Premier Christy Clark once served as chairwoman of a B.C. company she now touts on official government business, raising concerns over ethics and conflict of interest.

Which Clark not only has never disclosed but when confronted by the reporter, lied about her involvement:

The Premier initially denied any relationship with RCI Capital Group and Mr. Park. “I don’t have one,” she said before acknowledging that “He’s been on a couple of trade trips with us.” The B.C. Corporate registry in Victoria shows that Ms. Clark was registered as a director of the company alongside Mr. Park. (see here)

Clark will get an experienced Laura Miller to cover for her.

In my view here in BC we seem to be stuck with an English version of Quebec politics. It just never changes no matter which party it is. Such a shame.
