Citizen editorial states anti-abortion Liberal is same as Green climate change denier

Maher Potter

The Ottawa Citizen generally can’t shock me anymore but this jaw-dropping editorial endorsing Liberal leader Justin Trudeau banning pro-lifers managed just that:

What Trudeau is asking, in effect, is that his candidates reflect the party’s view. One wouldn’t expect to find a climate-change denier in the Green party. A party exists to offer voters one particular platform, not to be all things to all people. (see here)

Think about the mind-set of an editorial board from a major Canadian newspaper saying abortion is on par with climate fraud.

It would be shocking if it were coming from any newspaper but not from the Citizen, some of the biggest apologists and shillers for Justin Trudeau and the Liberals at all levels infest that Ottawa rag. It’s as if they don’t live in the world of reality, their brains are wired for one way current. It’s disgusting.

Anything to change the channel, Justin is wonderful, he is so one dimensional he could be a cardboard cut out.
These after all were the people who ran with robo-calls and wrote a “story” a day.
Sure been quiet since there was found to be no proff of any wrong doing.

So with this assessment from little JT and his buddies from the Ottawa Citizen,Former Liberal PM Paul Martin is not a “Real Liberal”

Not content with an editorial supporting Jr, the Citizen also grants the front page headline story to how he credits his devout father for his stand. He is allowed to state how the Liberal Party, is the party of the Charter, the Charter defines The Party just as it defines the country. So I guess for the first 115 years Canada wasn’t defined yet?
A great number of Canadians including Trudeau Sr’s contemporaries might differ with this assessment. To the Citizen no response is offered, in their view none is required.

He notes that he is personally very opposed to abortion”
    Really ?
Maybe he should recuse himself as “Leader”.
He won’t allow a candidate to take that position.
What an all over the map weather vane Mr Trudeau is.
Sucking and Blowing a Liberal tradition.

The Liberals just need a catchy name for the policy. I suggest The Test Act.

Interesting editorial comment here from sister paper the National Post,
in response to the Citizen headline story. They state flatly that Jr is dead wrong on what the Charter had to say about abortion in 1988.
The SC at the time tried to nudge parliament to enact some sort of abortion law, one that would be compatible with Charter rights. This has not happened in the 25 years since.
As is his custom, Jr has opened his mouth and prattled on about Charter rights and so on, leaving for others, media enablers, maybe Butts to limit the damage to his image. He still cannot be trusted in a unscripted media interview.
