BC Civil Liberties says they are still working on sending letter to Nanaimo City on banning Christian group

Lyster

While watching Sun News’ Ezra Levant’s segment where he travels to Nanaimo to confront their city council on banning Leadercast from using the convention centre (watch here) one thing struck me – where was the BC Civil Liberties Association in all this?

So I asked and received this reply:

bc civil liberties

Trust me, the BCCLA is no shrinking violet when it comes to media coverage here in BC – they have been front and centre on a litany of causes and whose president, Lindsay Lyster (photo above) served as a member of the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal between 2002 and 2010 (see here). So, why the silence on defending such a blatantly obvious case like this?

Nothing to do with the lesbian and gay activists who were behind this Christian banning right?

    The BCCLA reminds me a lot of the “Friends of Canadian Broadcasting”.
    They are not the friends of all Canadian broadcasters.

    Well, I won’t hold my breath… gays trump Christians every time, and of course gays could never be “intolerant” towards others now could they, thats just not “politically correct”.

  3. Deryk Says:

    I expect that the BCCLA letter to Nanaimo City Council will address rights violations that go beyond issues of religion. I expect that they will address breaches of freedom of expression, freedom of association and lack of due process.

    So called civil rights organisations are never about defending civil rights. They are closet neo-marxists. The same applies to organisations and bodies claiming to represent human rights, when in fact they are anti-human rights. The list goes on and on. Nowadays when you see the name of an organisation, expect the opposite to what it claims to defend.

    because I was not a trade unionist;
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
    because I was not a Jew;
    Then they came for me—
    and there was no one left to speak out for me.”
