Calgary Police finally admit no officers were present at violent pro-Hamas rally

hamas calgary

It was blatantly obvious that the Calgary Police lied about having officers on hand to deal with the pro-Hamas demonstrators Friday eve (see here) and now 5 days later, finally admit it:

Spokesman Kevin Brookwell said while a police presence was in the area, they were not directly on site as they were when a more peaceful rally was held a week earlier.

“We didn’t have any officers there at the beginning,” Brookwell said. “We have to balance between too much police presence and not enough — it’s our job to keep the peace.” (see here)

Normally when a police force is caught lying like this the media will demand answers but since this violence was by a group in which the media sympathize, Calgary Police chief Rick Hanson can rest assured he will continued to be shielded by them.

Has anyone in the country seen any coverage of this disgrace on CBC?
How long before we’ll be talking about taking back our country? Looking at the the pro Hamas thugs in action it was hard to believe this was a city in Canada. Hopefully they’ll get slammed with assault charges and they end up with a criminal record. If we let this slide they’ll be emboldened, only their terrorist causes will be allowed to protest in our streets safely.
Horrible creatures who cannot control their hatred is all I can come up with, they are not our kind of people. Any who are not Canadians should be sent packing.

    Outright lying. Disgraceful conduct.

The Media Party continues to govern,

OMG, they have to balance between having too much police presence and not enough, since it is their job to keep the peace. Anyone who is not deaf, dumb and blind and the slightest aware of current events knows that an assembly of terror supporting Muslims always translates into trouble with a capital t. I suspect they were following direction from the mayor’s office. Disgusting and in Calgary of all places.

  5. Centurion Says:

The mayor was “out of town” at the time. This being the 23rd of July I’m sure the mayor made a full statement about the situation on his return to Calgary. Or has he…?

  6. Sean M Says:

Nenshi doesn’t condemn this thuggish behaviour because these brutish cowards are the ones that vote for Nenshi, don’t criticize the hand that keeps you in power. Nenshi’s more comfortable using the police force to harass christians handing out bibles because that appeals to the same thugs that vote for him… multi-cult in all its sickening glory. The Media Party, the CBC stay dutifully quiet on this thuggery in the streets because they approve of it, bias by omission.

  7. E Mac Says:

Nenshi has had run Ins before this. Remember the soapbox Pasteur who was barred from the centre of the city by him and was bullied into submission.
As for being the darling hero during the Calgary flood – People were easily misled and fooled by him and his handlers.
Unbelievable how easily swayed Calgarian’s can be. Something you folks ought to think about.

Afraid Calgary and all of Alberta is a rapidly changing demographic and not for the better. The powers that be are also reflecting the same dynamic, when they congregate in ghettos they take over the majority of the votes.

Canada should change a few rules for immigrants with whom we have little or no history in the western civilized world. It would be a good start to have all of them on at least a 5 year time frame to prove they are melding into and understand our way of life, and swear allegiance to only Canada at that point. If they carry on like thugs in our streets or are charged with any crime they are not accepted as citizens.

Nenshi as Mayor of Calgary, whether he’s at home or away when mayhem breaks out in the streets of his city he needs to have something to say in condemnation without his incessant smile.

When a Calgary cop was quoted, post fracas to the Israeli flag wearer: “When you’re wearing that, what do you expect is going to happen here?” , “What do you expect is going to happen when you walk through this group?” I expect that he’ll say the same when his own daughter is assaulted and had more of herself exposed at the time than Sharia Law will accept?

Calgary women are strangely silent about that opinion expressed by their CPS member, the Mayor too. I’ll be asking the CPS and the Mayor if that is “official” policy….to blame the victim? But then the Media Party aren’t reporting the “news” in any way for anyone to form an opinion, except the one they want you to have.

By the same token anyone showing up at the next pro Palestinian rally and gets thumped by their opposites, the CPS can tell the Palies, when they complain, the same thing: “When you’re wearing that, what do you expect is going to happen here?” , “What do you expect is going to happen when you walk through this group?”

    Think that will happen?

    • Liz J Says:

The cop gave it away when he made his statement, he and his force know how volatile these protests can be and should have been prepared for what happened. The pro Israel side is with the Canadian stance on this issue, the Hamas/Palestine thugs came out in hoards with their hatreds ready to pop at the first opportunity. The Israeli flags are akin to red capes taunting a bull, they went raving mad and sent some of their victims to hospital.
There MUST be charges laid or it will continue to happen and could get even deadly. You don’t kick people when they’re knocked down without injuring them, they also had no respect for the women who they also attacked.

The mayor can look like the smiling jackal all he wants but this is no laughing matter and he needs to reassure the people this unacceptable at the very least.

    I agree – well said.

  11. Sun News’ Ezra Levant event July 31st “Calgary For Israel” | BC Blue: One BC Conservative's view on it all... Says:

[…] extremists (see here), the Calgary Police stood-down and allowed Palestinian thugs to beat up Jews (see here) and the media have turned a blind eye even when others like myself have done all the work for them […]

  12. DW Says:

Our taxes pay the cops their salaries to serve and protect the citizens of Calgary. And not protect the slime whose aim is to undermine our society with there hateful racism. Is there another reason? is there some other reason why they stand by and allow Jew bating and tramples women and children and do nothing a block away from the cop shop. Shame doesn’t come close to the cop’s behavior. And the chief’s explanation, after the fact, was pathetic. A sorry excuse for doing nothing when he witnessed it along with the other cops. What was their thinking? What influenced them to do nothing? Shame on them. There should be an inquiry to highlight the chief’s incompetence. I like to see the report of his explanation. Should be an interesting read if one can stomack it. The chief of police of Calgary should be fired!

  13. DW Says:

THERE WERE UNIFORMED OFFICERS THERE WHO WERE ORDERED NOT TO INTERVENE BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE. THE CHIEF SHOULD BE REPRIMANDED. HE CERTAINLY WASN’T SERVING AND PROTECTING THE PUBLIC WHEN A WOMAN AND HER CHILD WERE TRAMPLES BENEATH THE RADICAL ANTI – SEMETIC DEMONSTRATORS. WHAT IS HE THERE FOR? THE DEMONSTRATION WAS A MERE BLOCK AWAY FROM THE COP SHOP. THE CHIEF IS A COWARD AND RECEIVED ORDERS FROM HIS POLITICAL GODS…….MAYOR NENSHI. THE CHIEF IS A COWARD.
