Sun’s Ezra Levant leads on Globe’s poll for “Biggest Canadian Broadcaster” so they then discredit results

The Globe and Mail’s online PR poll “Who’s the biggest name in Canadian broadcasting” is blowing up spectacularly in their faces but instead of gracelessly conceding, they added this to denounce the results:

Editor’s Note: The order of appearance below is based on your voting which, like all Internet polls or surveys, can be subject to organized campaigns. (see here)

It sure must suck for the self-declared “Canada’s newspaper of record” to get so publicly owned by a bunch of redneck, hillbilly Ezra Levant fans – ouch.

Interesting, even more interesting that the percentages have been scrubbed off the site.
Poor babies must suck to own second , third, forth fifth, etc, Suzuki being a solid 1% must really let them know just how “trusted” the leader of the chicken littles is.

I did go back several times to see how Ezra Levant was doing, every time it told me “You have Voted”
There are two people living here only one was allowed to vote from this adress.

All the percentages still show for me (Pale Moon browser; XP Pro p.c.) after I “re-vote” for Ezra and it “tells” me, quite rightly, that I’ve already voted.

  2. Deryk Says:

What is Rick Mercer doing on the list?

  3. guffman3 Says:

Seems like the voting is still open – guess they’re hoping one of the other distant challengers might make a late run.

Well, they can’t blame it on robocalls so what they got left? They want to be the national newspaper but don’t want to accept results of their polls if they don’t fit with their Liberal/Left agenda. Tough titty, hope they have some sleepless nights. Wonder what they’ll conjure up to counteract their great disappointment.

The Glob@Plop editors should assign the intrepid Mahar and MacGregor to get to the bottom of this elaborate conspiracy… and then when Mahar and MaGregor don;t find anything, they can give them an award anyhow… LOL.

M&M, the mighty team, in their own mind’s, probably haven’t picked themselves up off the floor yet. Having their big egos so badly beaten may do them irreparable damage, they may need intensive therapy.

        • E Mac Says:

Intensive psychotherapy isn’t a starter – those 2 have air between their ears and nothing can be absorbed.
I can’t voice anything unwholesome enough without profanity, so I’ll say nothing at all, and allow readers to interpolate their own chimera.
          Some entries should be “priceless.”

And Ezra’s Sunday column is about the poll. It’s beautiful—you’ve got to read it.

Ezra should do a show on pot, do some street interviews and have Marc Emory tell us all the merits of legalizing it. Emory is fresh out of serving time in a US jail for selling pot seeds and says he smokes it every day, doesn’t impair, make you more aware, doesn’t affect your ability to drive safely. Thing is, when asked on a radio interview this morning about his incarceration he says he doesn’t remember anything about it, but he’d do it again if he had to. Conclusion? Pot erases all the bad stuff in your mind?

Sure hope he keeps talking and supporting Trudeau over one issue, we’ll see how the masses react to pot being the most important issue facing Canada and the world today.

    • Deryk Says:

Yah man! Let’s all smoke pot and get high to screen out all the reality in the world. All the world’s problems will just go away if only we would all get high on pot (or anything else we choose). Let’s start to make it a more peaceful world by starting our youth on the drug. Just think, it could be Woodstaock every day all day. Herein lies the focus of marijuana activists. Is this where JT is trolling for votes?

      • Liz J Says:

Yep, that’s where he’s trolling for votes. Maybe he should pass this around in the mosques in this country where Islamic extremist doctrine is preached, it might be the answer to all the problems in the ME as well, it will make them happy and forget their hate for Infidels, aka everybody who is not Muslim. Trudeau could then receive the peace prize.
