Warren Kinsella damages Olivia Chow’s campaign calling John Tory a “segregationist”

Once again Warren Kinsella has shown what a brilliant political strategist he is:

Warren Kinsella, who leads the so-called rapid response “war room” for Chow’s mayoral campaign, made the comment on Twitter. He also posted a map in which he puts the following satirical words in Tory’s mouth: “You will note we were careful to exclude Jane/Finch and Rexdale from SmartTrack.”

“Is John Tory’s Smart Track, you know, Segregationist Track?” Kinsella wrote. In a post immediately prior, he wrote: “John Tory: if you don’t come from his demographic, he doesn’t give a s— if you lose transit service.”

Kinsella deleted the tweets and offered a qualified apology to Tory when a reporter contacted him and the campaign more than 12 hours later.

And to make matters even worse, Chow’s spokesman gets caught lying about Kinsella’s role:

Chow spokesman Jamey Heath said Kinsella is a mere “volunteer” on the campaign, though he acknowledged that Kinsella’s company is being paid for “media monitoring” work. He tried to distance the campaign itself from Kinsella’s words. (see here)

It’s not like Kinsella hasn’t gone around libelling others as racists:

Kinsella libel

Just that this time the Media Party cares.

Maybe Kinsella should get his arse off the political scene, he’s losing it…..oh….. on second thought, he’s a liability, maybe he better hang in there and screw the chances of his Liberal/NDP/Left choices.
An apology and erasing a damaging/nasty tweet doesn’t hold any value coming from such a source. Many of those who see the original never see their apology/retration so it’s still out there, an apology doesn’t take it away.

Again, Kinsella should take up another line of work, maybe CBC needs another clown for some of their satirical offerings on the politics of the nation.

Olivia said that Warren is a volunteer but her campaign is paying his company to monitor the media during this race. In my opinion her run for mayor is falling fast and hard this is why the mouthpiece needs to go into attack mode. Warren in a term is very liberal with the truth, for example when his Liberals were reduced to 30 seats after the past fed election he stated he was going to help rebuild the libs and “run’ for parliament, does Justin know this?

Do you have that quote you can link?

      • Beachdude Says:

It was on his own blog after Iggy got crushed, he wrote it himself. I do not have a link but I read it. He said he was going to help rebuild the party and run for a seat himself. He also openly mused about combining the Liberals and NDP into a single party.

        • Bocanut Says:

After he was canned from the Count’s campaign for being more interested in the “jiggy” than the Iggy chasing now girlfriend Lala around the war room table he didn’t renew his Federal Liberal party membership and has also let his provincial one expire.
Yet he still pines for the days when he believed he was relevant
We’.ll see if he pulls another “Rocco Rossi” when Chow fires him

Wonder if WK has taken OC out for any “Cat”.

  4. frances10 Says:

Just google “The Cat’s in the Kettle at the Peking Moon”.

  5. Bocanut Says:

Someone in Chow’s campaign forced Kinsella to make a second apology a mere 5 hours after he posted this greasy piece of bullarama:
How long will she allow Kinsella to weave his magical reverse Midas touch and make a mockery of her campaign?
    ‘Til Oct 17 I hope.

  6. Bubba Brown Says:

Hmmm when Warren is done helping Chow can he go to work for Juthin?
