I catch another CP reporter omitting naming partisan Harper-haters sitting on group’s board of directors

Blanchfield-2013

Last week Canadian Press issued a correction after I complained about their reporter Stephanie Levitz omitting that the Mowat Centre was loaded with Liberals including Trudeau’s puppet-master Gerald Butts (see here) yet once again a reporter of theirs does it again.

An alarm goes off in my head every time I read about some group complaining in the media about PM Stephen Harper as this World Federalist Movement was to CP’s Mike Blanchfield on Harper speaking at the UN:

A broad coalition of former diplomats and public servants is questioning whether Stephen Harper’s return to the United Nations this week is politically motivated. (see here)

So I took a look at their board of directors and immediately these names confirmed my suspicion:

world federalist movement

Warren Allmand: Ex-Liberal MP

Bill Blaikie: Ex-NDP MP

Ian Waddell: Ex-NDP MP and BC NDP MLA

Errol Mendes: Ex-Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff adviser

And of course Mendes is one of the biggest Harper-haters in Ottawa.

I’m sure I could find more partisan activities if I cared to look into the others on this board but these four should have been enough for Blanchfield to let his readers know who was running this organization.

I’ll be filing another complaint with CP and will update you if they respond.

Also: See earlier post on CP reporter Murray Brewster using Mendes as one of his story’s sources here.

Update: I have now filed a complaint with CP.

SEEMS PAR FOR THE COURSE. ALL LEFT WING MEDIA ARE AGAINST HARPER FOR EVEN THE SLIGHTEST INFRACTION/READ AGAINST THEIR OH SO LIBERAL NOTIONS WHEREAS THEY GIVE THE SHINY PONY A PASS ON EVERYTHING. A CURSORY LOOK AT THE POLS SUGGESTS “THEY” ARE WINNING AND THAT THE MEDIA PARTY CAN NEVER CRITICIZE TRUDEAU. EVERY HARPER “NO” TO THERE OH SO LEFT PROPAGANDA IS REARRANGED TO MEAN HARPER IS NOT ON BOARD WITH EVERYTHING THEY DO. AS HE SHOULD.

Omitting relevant information is the forte of these fake journos. In their circles, it’s not something to be ashamed of, rather it’s something they wear as a badge of honor — it shows they’re team players. They haven’t just fallen into disrepute; social media is just exposing what has always existed.

What is troubling is the likes of Mendes, a rabid Harper hater,he oozes it, and he is a tenured professor at Ottawa university. Why are they allowed to retain positions in our education system and be so active in partisan politics? This Mendes dude scares the hell out of me, expect he’ll eventually take a run in politics.

That “scritichityy scritichity” sound you hear is the Liberal cockroaches and their peanut gallery trying to get away when Dean turns the light on them.

BTW, isn’t the so-called “United” Nations political? If it isn’t why are Prime Ministers, leaders from the Nations who belong to this thing going there? It’s become something of a place for despots and Dictators to vote against democratic nations on issues important to the free world, a real sham of an organization. What it does to benefit us is really hard to figure at this point. How many are sitting there who are known to be abusers of human rights? What can the UN do to stop this?

Anyone here think PM Harper will pull the plug and head to an early election?

I think he should, he has less to lose calling it in late winter… have to head off the Big Unions/Labour who are gearing up for major attacks against the CPC.

Keep up the good work here, keep getting the word out.

It would be more advantageous for PMSH to go to the polls shortly after the budget is presented. With the books having been balanced and a healthy surplus in its place, the political capital of those two things would probably diminish somewhat by the time the fall came.

O/T, did the SNN break for the PM Harper UN speech yesterday. I waited for him to be seen but nothing happened?
