It has now been 3 days since Liberal PM Justin Trudeau issued this tiny statement on the Holocaust Remembrance Day where he omitted mentioning the words “Jews” and “anti-Semitism”:
And in those 3 days not a word was mentioned about it in any Canadian news organization even though it was widely covered by the Israeli-focused media and spread throughout social media (see here), until the Toronto Sun ran this editorial today:
The Prime Minister’s Office told us yesterday Trudeau’s initial statement was an incorrect draft issued in error.
The PMO said it took steps to correct this by putting out a tweet from Trudeau linking to his statement and citing the importance of fighting anti-Semitism, plus issuing a statement from Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion that prominently noted the death of six million Jews in the Holocaust.
What an absolute lie, the statement I posted above was taken directly from Trudeau’s official website this morning:
So, the only news org to even run anything allowed Trudeau’s PMO to blatantly lie by not demanding the ‘correct’ statement and then had temerity to say this at the end:
We trust Trudeau will do better next year. (see here)
