Peter “Faker” Stoffer wants Iffy to do a better job of holding Conservatives to account?

Bit rich of NDP MP Peter Stoffer to accuse Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff of not doing his job as Official Opposition Leader when it was the NDP that voted in support of the government (see here) back in September.

That was when Ignatieff had painted himself into the corner with the infamously lame “Mr Harper, your time is up” quote.  The NDP would have lost seats if an election was called at that time so they swallowed themselves whole and pretended it was for the good of the country.

And what’s with Stoffer begging for the Liberals to put another leader in place?

” If you had someone like a Frank McKenna there facing him, I think it would be a different story all together.”

Why don’t the NDP tell us the truth about the Canada they want to build? Anybody for communism?

Frank McKenna never had to face strong opposition as Premier of New Brunswick. At one point he held all the seats.

While he’d clearly be an improvement over Ignatieff, to treat him as a panacea for the Liberals is a little presumptuous.
