Didn’t we as conservatives use to be against these things?

 

Two items from yesterday sent alarm bells ringing in my head about where this Conservative government will head without us keeping them on the straight and narrow.

1) Human Resources Minister Diane Finley extends EI benefits for the 3rd time to seasonal workers (see here)

2) $190,000 funding announcement for a doughnut maker’s cooler (see here)

These follow the report that the Conservative Party president John Walsh sent out a letter of congrats to the Chinese Communist Party (see here) and won’t explain why he did it.

There was a time when we use to scream blue murder when the Liberals handed out corporate/job welfare cheques as vote-buying gambits and sucked up to the Chinese murderous regime (see here) and by being silent, we allow them to slowly but surely slip into those easy political habits.
