Iggy or Holland not telling truth on Crime Bill legislation?

The Liberals sure do have a problem keeping their campaign stories straight. Yesterday we had Bob Rae and David McGuinty critical of the Conservative’s Office of Religious Freedoms proposal but Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff loved it.

Iggy“We think an initiative like is the kind of thing that ought to have the support of all sides in politics” (see here)

Rae (Lib Foreign Affairs Critic): “It has much more to do with Canadian domestic politics than it has to do with the necessity of having a coherent strategy for the promotion of democracy and human rights”

McGuinty“We have a document in this country that does that; it’s called the Charter of Rights” (see here)

Oops…and now today we have Iggy saying he will change some of the tough-on-crime legislation: “We’re gonna review all of these. There will be substantial savings” (see here)

Quite different from what Lib Mark Holland (Public Safety Critic) said yesterday: “I don’t see anything right now that we need to go back and undo”. (see here)

Now, can you imagine the full-on media feeding frenzy if say 3 Conservative MPs completely contradicted Stephen Harper on such basic policies?
